not good...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

not good...

Today was a nightmare. I work for a land surveying company, and
we use a machine called a theodolite, they a used to measure distances
and bearings. These machines are very expensive, about US $20 000.

The surveyer I had set up the instrument, and me and the surveyer went down the road to find a good spot to put a reference mark in, I turned to look up the road and saw, almost in slow motion the tripod sway and slowly topple over.

So now its being sent up to auckland to (hopefully) be repaired. Fortunately the boss has had one broken himself so he understood. The thing is covered by insurance but seeing it fall over almost gave me a heart attack.

lol. I know how you felt. About 7 years ago I had all the small sensitive items from my crew in one ruck sack on top of my track. We were rolling in from two weeks in the field and when we got back I noticed my ruck was missing. Along with the sensitive items of course. I thought I was a dead man. We went back out and drove over the same route we had taken 3 times then we walked it twice. Couldn't find the ruck. Finally I decided to load back up and go in to face the firing squad. On the way back in my driver spotted a lump hanging from a branch on a tree. It was the ruck. It had gotten swept off the top of my track while I ducked inside to avoid the branch. Just to give you an idea what I would have owed the Army if we hadn't found it:
3 PVS-7 Night vision goggles = $7000 a piece
1 MELIOS laser range finder = $15000
1 PLGR GPS system = $3000
1 ANCD communication security fill device = Priceless. (we're talking jail time for this one)
These are all estimates on the prices but I'm pretty confidant on the bit about ending up in jail. I never put a sensitive item on top of my vehicle again and never will.
