How can ppl be so cruel???

For the last few hours, I heard a dog howlin every few mins, finally a few mins I looked to see what is goin on. The poor dog(he/she is sooooo cute) is in a car, windows only a bit open, it is hot, the poor, poor dog, I feel so sorry for it, How can ppl be so cruel?? Cant they thin for themselfsev. I think ppl like that shouldnt be allowed to have pets.

Maybe you should call the SPCA or whatever animal protection angency you have over where you live. They can take the dog off them.

The animal protection agencies would be your best bet on this one. that or a baseball bat! (just kidding, dont do that. and if you do, dont blame me.)

But I dont think they will take the dog away just becus it was kept in a car...

If you're sure the animal won't bite you, you could push the window down and get the poor bugger out of there, it takes a fair bit of weight to push some car windows down. Then tie it up in your backyard with some water and shade and when whoever comes back for the car you explain that it could have died before you give it back. It all depends on how much you're prepared to stick your neck out for a dog.

Luckily the dog is gone now, but I live in a flat we dont have a back yard and the owner was about 10=20 m from the car, they are workin in their flat and while they're busy the dog has to stay in the car

I agree completely with you, sw, a dog can die of heat stroke and dehydration in a locked car with the windows wound up, it acts like a greenhouse. All it needs is for the window to be opened a crack and that's enough, but clearly people think more about their cars than their dogs

Taw window was open but i dont think enough and what if the dog wanted to do sth if he did it in the car he prolyy would get punished for it

Not to get folks down, but, in the US that happens a lot. But, now, there are several cases where small children have been left unattended in cars. A couple have died because of it too. Adults don't always think things through. Leave the pets at home and take the kids with you.

Don't know how it is in South Africa. But up here, if you find a pooch trapped like that, you call the police. And if they're too busy somewhere else, or you can't reach them within reasonable time, you're in your full right to smash that window and let the poor thing out.
