My neighbors almost shot me and the rest of my family one time. Then they kept shooting our house.

That's my personal vendetta about fireworks.

Kind of lost intrest the day I lit a lady finger and it had a hairy fuse and blew my fingers open. Hurt for a week.

Round our way fireworks are a implement to hold up shops and pedestrians for money..........as a threat. We have lovely residents in Leeds, one group of mates had to call the firebrigade, as their doorbell rang, and they went to answer it, only to find 3 rockets through their letter box...........VERY dangerous............my mind is now set, only sold for public display or along those lines. After all, its only a few mins of enjoyment anyways..........and MONTHS of torment in the wrong place......not to mention the stress to any wildlife.........they mention cats/dogs - but what of the other thousands of animals etc..

ps. - sorry, a little tipsy - been out on the rozz most of the night.

Used to have bottle rocket wars. It got a little insane toward the end. We had more money in our pockets as we got older so the number of bottle rockets got ridiculous. We'd end up smelling like sulphur and gun powder, our ears would be ringing for a few days and we'd get all sooty.

We stopped doing it (on 4th of July holidays) only after a good friend of mine had one of them pop in his face almost. After that, plus the fact that we'd finally gotten out of college and were holding down steady jobs, we realized that maybe we were being just a little too stupid after all.

I went into the city (Melbourne) for the first time last year to see the New Year's Eve fireworks. It was great. I was right underneath them and I could see every detail, I may have to go back again this year, but we had to literally fight our way onto the trains afterwards. I'm surprised that no-one was trampled to death; that's how bad it was. I showed the crowd who was boss though!

Fireworks rock. I try to buy some nice explosives (colourful though) each year.
I've got around 2 tons stacked in me closet by now.
