LOL, has any one looked at gromits webpage?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

He has his work in the site itself, you cannot access it at all, which of course he wishes, as he keeps his clients confidential etc. It wouldn't be wise to advertise webpages you are making etc to the public now would it? However, whatever is contained within is of the utmost quality I can assure you . Very talented

Bear in mind that you should probabily ask him politely rather than making a thread discussing his buisness in public. It would be the polite and friendly thing to do towards the guy, who has been nothing but helpful to everyone in the past. He deserves your respect, so don't start bemoaning the fact that his website isn't the glitz palace you hoped for, and therefore poking fun at it!....

I dunno......I leave you all alone for 5 minutes and look what happens. lol.

Thanks for the comments guys - especially chips, that was very kind - I've explained this a couple of times, but I suppose its been a while so I'll do it again....

Hidden behind Planet Gromit are close to 100 partly and fully developed websites. But I'm afraid I can't reveal any of them to you due to client confidentiality. The nature of the business is that my larger corporate clients would prefer you to believe that they built their own websites - and some of the larger entertainment clients would prefer you to think that their record companies (for example) built their site. So as a result of this I am locked into many confidentiality clauses that can be, quite frankly, a pain in the nether nethers.

To give you an example of the extremity of these clauses, I'm not even allowed to put the majority of the sites on my personal portfolio. I AM allowed to mention them in the body of my CV, and I am allowed to demo them in job interviews, but I'm not allowed to show them off as examples of my work to the general public - ie. on the web. This is something that has made my life very difficult over the past few years, because as a designer I need to have an online portfolio, but I can't demonstrate my best work in it....!!

In my spare time I've been working on a new portfolio site, but its not ready to show yet....my old one is really cack and I need to get this new one up, but I simply don't have the time due to my workload and impending wedding. Howevere, as soon as it is done...probably later in the year, I'll replace the planet gromit homepage and let you all have a look...but until then you'll have to put up with my signature page. Sorry chaps and chapesses.

So thats it really! Nothing to see here...move along now....move along

(thanks again for the comments though guys....)

EDIT: My site is pretty secure, however I doubt it is totally unhackable (what is nowadays?!), but I would ask you guys kindly as a friend to please not attempt to reveal my clients' sites...I can get sued just as easily by it being let out accidentally as I can by revealing it myself. Thanks again.

Hey, gromit, the page is neat! I like it. I understand, you use it for a "file-hosting" place, right?

Post Mon Apr 19, 2004 9:21 am

Does no one read?

Ed, I think no-one does these days, I think this can be considered a spamming thread, and you know what, I think I'll copy the text supplied by Grom, and if this comes up again I'll paste the text into the reply.

...plus, I think I can hear a Deputy C*cking his *click*gun
