World Record

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

World Record

Me and my friend spinnaker visited 14 Toys "R" us' in 12 hours hopefully setting a world record.

lol' it was awsome! The only reason it might be a world record is because nowone else is stupid enough to try.

Reminds me of my friends' attempt to visit every tube station in London within 24 hours relying solely on public transport. They didn't quite manage it but they had plenty of fun engaging in conversations with random people wherever they went

It all most seems pointless to try for a record at anything. Someone else will come along and break it. Like the 4 minuet mile, after it got broke, someone did it even better. Sounds too much like work.

lol. wow enthusiastic there finalday

I see nothing wrong with attempting world records, no matter how silly, imho it beats sitting around on your arse letting your life drift away. The day I die I want to know that I had a go at lots of stupid things in my lifetime, at least I had fun.

When I was 12 I took part in an equally silly world record attempt - the longest "lap sit"....this is basically an enormous line of people, like a conga line, and when the signal is given everybody bends their knees and sits on the lap of the person behind them....picture that? Now imagine that line of people 4 MILES long...! We shattered the existing record, making it onto Roy Castle's Record Breakers (yey! ), but about six months later some disgruntled russians tore back the record by almost doubling the amount of people involved.

Moral of story.... if you are going for the lapsit record, make sure you're the one in the larger country in population and size. Eventually, the Chinese may become interested. They could setup a lapsit all along the Great Wall. I don't think anyone would be able to break that kind of a record.

@grom im glad that was lapSIT and not dance

Meh. I once played the computer for six hours straight, and you don't hear me braggin' .

Post Fri Apr 16, 2004 7:36 am

@indy lol. but the question is, if everyone in china was to lapsit, would it cause an earthquake?!

@steel...lapdance record, now there's a story...a couple of years ago I....

If you want something thats close to a record, and for me it is, I once, about 15 years ago, played Final fantasy 3 for 34 hours straight with only a couple of bathroom breaks, no meals, no sleep, couple of sodas. Slept 16 hours afterwards. And won't do it again.

when I was a student one of my housemates left an unfinished plate of pasta behind the sofa for six months...the lifeform it grew HAD to be record breaking...or disgusting...whichever way you choose to look at it

I left a banana underneath a pile of rubbish beside my bed for 3 months (purely in the interests of science, you understand, CERTAINLY not for any other reason), it was... interesting.
And it vibrated slightly if you looked at it close enough...
