So another error

Yep, its me again with another comp problem. See I get 2 errors every time i start up XP. Their those little bubbles, i have 2 screenshots of the errors, one occurs first then the second. It started after i tried to install CD Creator 4 (i was desperate) but then found my Nero and didnt need it anymore, unfortunately i stirred up something now every time i turn on my damn computer this **** pops up. I would post the pics but i have nowhere to host them. So is there any way to disable those little warning bubbles above the clock in Windows XP?

Hosting pictures would be most helpful. Go to www.freewebs.com it's easy to set up and as the name suggests it's free.

Try burning it. Won't get any messages then....

Nothing like a can of Lysol and a bic lighter to take care of those pesky computer problems! I like it

without knowing what the little bubbles say, it's a fumble in the dark to try to help you. However it sounds like you either have a corrupt installation of CD Creator, in which case you should reinstall it properly, then uninstall it. Alternatively, it did install correctly and you have the various boot-up utilities starting up, like autosensing CD-RWs for formatting and stuff like that; in which case, disable them as services and they won't trouble you anymore. But those are just guesses, you should provide more information on these error messages, if errors they be.

Bloody Roxio!?!?! I hate "Easy CD Creator"! Cheap piece of junk! We have it as part of the SOE at work, and the bloody thing makes coasters out of CDs as a matter of course, and refuses to record on CD-RWs! Give me Nero any day!

Tawakalna thats it. Exactly that, i tried to install it and something went wrong and this started happening. First i get a message in the sorts of "Windows has found drivers that may cause windows to become unstable, these drivers have been disabled" and then i get another bubble after " "Recording Software" will cause windows to become unstable" or something of the like, ill host the pics and edit the links into here.

Roxio could be conlficting with XP's in-built CD recording capabilities. You may want to try stopping Windows "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service", and then reinstall your CD-RW drivers, and *shudder* "CD-Creator".

Esq, I had a lot of probems with Roxio, so I went to CD Creator 6.0. No problems since. Roxio got to where it would crash or freeze up.

ps. Ver 7.0 is out now, after I went an bought 6.0.

sounds like roxio's installer is $crewed, i have Roxio, and it runs fine for me.
Try reinstalling Roxio and NOT install any drivers that come with it, also check the drivers assigned to the CD-R/W in question and reinstall them (if possible) with the drivers on the CD that came with the drive or off the drive website.
Also try READING from the drive itself to see if the driver functions in that case.
And try removing the faulty driver and try burning a CD without the conflicting driver.
Thats about all i can think of at the moment

I'll go with that too, sounds like good advice to me.

Final - Since we upgraded to 6.0, we have had fewer problems, but it's far from perfect.
