What Country fascinates you the most?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

What Country fascinates you the most?

As it says in the title, what country fascinates you the most...?

I don't just mean the "I like the USA because they're always doing this...." etc, I also mean the names of countries like Turkmenistan....

Think of something original...

Mine would have to be Malaysia, not only because I've been there a few times, but also because its so intense. The heat is nice, the natives are, the food is too...mmmh

"OH MY GOD!! Theres a meteor heading for us and the sun's about to explode, and...and...and!!"
"Oh, shut the f*ck up!!"

Now that you're reading this, can you tell me what E=mc² means and make it at least 2,500 words...

I will not tell you for what the THM stands for in my name.

im a HUGE fan of Japan.
Like gaga, sell my pc to go insane over the place. Ive never been, i dont know WHAT to expect and i think that excites me more than anything else. The culture is so unreal compared to anything i am familiar with. The food, way of life, society, fassion etc. is all new. The way people conduct themselves, the language is so unlike my community that im just awestruck by the place. I might go and just hate everything about it, but as for your question, Japan fascinates the hell out of me.

China, mainly for its traditions and history/culture. Also - the poeple i have met from China are fantasitcally nice and friendly. Basically i have never met a rude, bad tempered or angry person from that country I am really interested in going to visit it one day, just needs stacks of money - cause its flippin enormous, and i am also bound to be sucked into some form of tourist trap!

Israel, want to visit so bad. A place, Jeruslaem, That has been around for thousands of years in one form or another. The history involve, Egyptian, Greeks, Romans, so many have had a place in history involving Israel. To see it face to face is my goal one day.

I've always been fascinated by Wales, how do people speak a language where 40% of the words don't have vowels in?

Seriously though, I'm interested in Russia. I don't know why, I guess it must be the history of the country. And I've always been fascinated by how the country functioned so well under Communism, considering it can never work.

South Africa, the rest of my close family lives there yet I haven't been there in about 15 years. It's wierd, being half-South African it's affected my up-bringing and my family values seem to have some distinct differences from purely British ones. My parents gave me a confusing start at school by using Afrikaans and Zulu names for quite a few things meaning sometimes people wouldn't have a clue about what I'm on about. My Dad likes to go on about it a lot and I really want to go there, to see the Drakensburg, to visit my only cousins on their farm in Empangeni(sp?) for the first time, I want to do the touristy things and climb Table mountain, make a detour and visit the skeleton coast in Namibia too. But at the same time I know that the S.Africa my dad talks of is not the one that's there now. It's definitely changed for the better overall, there was no way apartheid could continue, but all I get to hear about SA now is the crime especially in Jo'burg and Pretoria which is where my family are. It's scary, I know krazy scout and sycho_warrior will say it's not so bad, but it's enough to give me real concerns about going out there. I don't think I'd be street wise enough for SA to be safe.

If I wasn't such a wimpy tourist (hate and cannot abide by lack of modern conveniences), I'd love to safari in East Africa while there still are free ranging wild animals and the like, or maybe go to the Amazon rain forest. But it will never happen.

I can't stand mosquitos either... more to the point, I am human mosquito bait. Put me, the only one clothed, in a room with 100 naked people and 1 mosquito and I will be the only person bitten.

For REALLY ancient civilization: Egypt or China first, then India.
For experiences in a different society and social settings: Denmark, the Netherlands, Brazil or Italy.
For raw / untouched natural beauty: Iceland, the American West, Kauai, New Zealand and Antarctica.

rather more seriously, I want desperately to see Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Mexico and the Namib desert. I also wouldn't mind Australia, New Zealand, Kamchatka and Brazil.
