Has TLR changed you?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Well if it hadn't been for TLR i'd never have gotten the help i needed in defeating Hovis in the race mission but apart from that it hasn't changed me as a person

What's the point in living if you can't feel alive?

Mustang - I'm a hell of a lot worse in real life. Trust me; I even use completely useless words such as "scrimshaw" in conversation .

Taw - I believe you .

Indy - Well my personality has changed slightly; I think that you guys have been using mind-control on me! Since I joined TLR, I've been far more overtly humourous; I tease people all the time, even at work, which I would NEVER have done before.

Nick - Why am I not surprised? You "dafties" are all alike...

I think that it says a lot about a site when most people *glares at Nickless* feel that it has impacted on their lives in even a small way. The question now is, is TLR more than just a Freelancer site? I think so. Opinions?

Of course. It's a Starlancer site too.

Really though, TLR has meant a lot to me. It's given me a place to talk about things which I could never really do in real life. It's just a nice feeling to be able to talk to so many people, all with a common interest (Freelancer, well, mainly). It's the first and only forum I am a member of, and now I'm too attached to leave.
Kinda like one of those parasitic sucker-fish....

EDIT- @Indy- yeah, I knew that, but other people wouldn't, so I just wrote that.

They're called lampreys, some of them are anyway. Actually, that might be a pretty good nick: "Lamprey. Dark Lamprey. Evil Lamprey. Lamprey 11.
Lamprey the Dictator" Take your pick.

It has, to a point. I met people here that are from all different walks of life. It's a good experience for me. I'm an American and damn proud of it. But I've met people here who are from Great Britain and beyond that shair the same viewpoints on life that I do. That really means something to me. I say "to a point" because I still feel that mankind has on a downward spiral to self-annihilation, because we're still fighting over the most trivial stuff. My views on that are changing, because I see the comaraderie(right spelling?) here on these forums and other sites' forums. I see how people can be united because of a common interest, even if it is a video game.

Yep, SS is single-handedly changing TLR for the better through cutting puns and satirical plays .
