Has TLR changed you?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Has TLR changed you?

Although this has to be one of the most esoteric questions ever asked on TLR, I was wondering if being a part of TLR has changed you as a person. That is to say, has being a member of the TLR community affected your daily life in any fashion, or had any effect on you whatsoever?

Mmm, I think I've been hanging around TLR too long; this is the sort of question Heltak would ask!

I have met people from different countries, cultures. I have broaden my view of the world and ideas. I hope, I have made some new friends as well, which would be the best part.

Yes, definitely. Ive met new ppl here and made many new friends and have gotten good advice from many of them. Also, thanks to Bargib and all the other staff members, ive gotten the chance to experience game development first-hand.

not in the least. I was a sarcastic self-centred annoying opinionated anti-social misanthropic git before and I haven't changed a bit. Yay!

An idea came to my head and is now desperately searching for brain

I think it has...since I've been here I can't stop adding people to my msn list :/...dunno why though.

My life wouldn't be the same without TLR. It gives me a place where I can enjoy myself, where I can meet the old pals, where...life has a reason

I'll agree with that. If not for TLR I wouldn't be on the Starfyre Studios team. That's been an exciting ride ^_^

Yes. In that my understanding of games and modding has been improved immensly, to the complaint of my wife who says I spend too much time playing FL and tinkering with all the files. .... I successfully created a couple of scripts to add my personal preferences to other mods so that I don't have to edit ini files anymore...Yay! .

But did it change my personality? No.

On the other hand, I have been deeply affected by what happened to Worth. And I have been troubled by some of the cries for help that I've witnessed so
I cannot say that I've been entirely untouched.

Hey. But I'm still here.
