Starshatter

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Starshatter

There is a new space combat game called Starshatter, which is coming out in Autumn. This was mentioned back in August, but the site has been updated recently, and there is a new version of the demo available. It looks promising, if a little to generic and linear. Opinions?

Looks like it could prove interesting. May have a learning curve judgeing by some of the screen shots. I love the ships. May give it a try. Pity I can't download the demo, dial-up.

The creator of starshatter (Milo) used to post here, very clever bloke. I played a couple of the early beta versions of the game and it showed a lot of promise. It's exciting to see he's got a publisher for it, I hope it works out well for him.

Some of the texures look a tad basic, but it should be interesting to see the final product.

I checked it out, going to download the demo soon. I'm interested in it, but I don't think I'll ever get too into it.

What I love about freelancer are the RPG elements. If I was making a game of this type, I'd try to push the RPG and exploration aspects further than they've ever been pushed, as opposed to combat, which IMHO have already been pushed much, much more than those other things.

but some people love combat flight sim type stuff, and this game looks like it's going to be AMAZING for them. I like that kind of stuff too, but not as much as RPG elements.

it's 4.30 am and I don't feel like I'm making any sense.
