This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

i must be one one of the last of the hoon generation. i love the big AUSTRALIAN V8s, (main reason is that most of the Australian designed cars could WHIP any amrican model. GT Falcon!!! w00t!) because ive noticed that more and more of my friends dont care for cars, and there is a few bogans who want VK Commodores, but i'll leave them alone (for now). ah well. as soon as i get my probationalry license, and then get off of them, im getting a big V8 and dropping it into my 1980 falcon. now stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

just kidding.

Hate to tell you this but that big australian V8 is imported from amercia, the last home grown V8 was in the VT series I commodore. Ford's have been using the Windsor V8 right up until the BA.

That was a Ford XC Falcon, modified to the goonies of course. Man I never realised I was so full of this useless automotive knowledge.

@Esqy....

Point of clarification for an uninformed Yankee. Uh. Auto-junky Aussies go poncing about in Melbourne referring to themselves in the French first person ("moi"

When did this affliction get started?

Post Sun Apr 18, 2004 5:31 am

Allow me if you will Eskie.
uhhh, not really. It's sort of a local vocal affliction that seems to affect your average australian yobbo w*nker (the Aussie version of the Redneck). "My" is pronounced "Moi", Mate is pronounced "Moit", "Peter" is pronounced "Poita" etc.

Gang - Try using the "Edit" button. It is not a good idea to double (or triple) post around here; it gets the Mods off-side .

Indy - Mustang's pretty much covered it, but the individuals in question are usually of Greek or Italian descent... at least according to the stereotype. I went to school with many of them *shudder* .

From a few posts back, I finally got to hear the austrailian accent for myself. I have Mad Max on DVD with the original voices. A whole lot of difference.
