This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Fir first person shooters I recommend Tron 2.0 and 007 Nightfire for the PC. The graphics in Tron are incredible and the gadgets in Nightfire are pretty fun to fool around with.

My mind is full of useless information.

Who reckons Freelancers better then them all

I don't.

Here's a list of games I think are good.
RTS: Total Annihilation (Voted best RTS by Gamespy), Starcraft
FPS: Far Cry (provided you have an ultra fast computer) otherwise stick to Call of Duty or Half-Life
TBS: Civ 3 (natch)
RPG: Anything by Bioware
TPS: GTA: Vice City, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
MaS: Rollercoaster Tycoon (not 2), Championship Manager 4 (UK only?)
SpS: Freespace 2
Adv: Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, In Memorium (creepy), Monkey Island Series
FlS: Il-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles, MS Flight Simulator 2004
TaS: Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (very hard), Hostile Waters (very fun)
Spo: Pro Evolution Soccer 3, Tiger Woods 2004
MOG: Battlefield 1942, Dark Age of Camelot

Key (respectively) - Real time strategy, First person shooter, Turn based stragtegy, Role playing game, Third person shooter (Ok, POP isn't a shooter, but it's close), Management Sim, Space Sim, Adventure, Flight Simulator, Tactical Shooter, Sports, Multiplayer Online Game

Boss - I was waiting for someone to say that, but I thought that it would be Indy or Taw!

@Esq, have your tried Escape from Monkey Island yet? How do you like it?

Sir S

Post Wed Apr 07, 2004 4:56 pm

Yes. It was quite good, but I kept experiencing lockups and crashes. It was really irritating. I was up to the bit in which you are stuck on Monkey Island, and have to use the cliff to launch the boulders into the lava lake. I became frustrated with the crashes, and tuninstalled it. I'll wait a while before I put it back on, and hopefully ScummVM will support it.

@Esqy, I had crashes too, but changed the .pif file to allow me to use it in a Win98 environment. Or was that MI3? Maybe MI4 was the one with a downloadable fix from LucasArts.

What do you think of this as a siggy? Appropriate for Monkey Islanders?

starlancer feespace2 and alpha centauri are three worth playing

Steel - I couldn't get into FS2. Is it any good?

SS - I downloaded the latest patch for MI4, but it still crashed; other people had experienced the same problems, so it wasn't just me.

I like that signature; good old Stan!

How about this;

or this;

FS2 is fookin' ace. Play it on the highest difficulty level with full graphical detail and it's monstrous, especially in the nebulae. Ship scales are incredible.

I guess I'll have to give it another try. The only problem is that the text is corrupted slightly; you can still read it, but it is a little tricky.
