i went down a grade >_< x_x

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Quite right to, imho. I'd be even worse to you, believe me. Work harder! My daughter (15) gets straight A's on her report card, you have to put sunglasses on just to look at it.

Bah! Grades aren't important! Just look at me; I was placed within the top eight percent of Victoria's school leavers and I have a five years of Tertairy education under my belt, and yet I'm stuck in a menial job owth no career prospects. Great, now I'm feeling depressed again. Thanks a lot Wolfy .

Post Wed Mar 31, 2004 2:38 pm

never mind, Esq, you can come and work for me no career prospects but the pay's good and you'll have a laugh!

Post Wed Mar 31, 2004 2:59 pm

Aw, shucks . *Sigh* If only you lived in Melbourne, I might be able to ditch my paranoia and take you up on that. Still, I may have to go to London like my brother to get work, so who knows what the future will bring?

Wolfy, for give the old advice my parents gave me. "Hit the books and pull it back up". A lot of studying, and it did. You can do it, Wolfy. Folks here know you can.

Wolfy, Health?

That should be a no brainer for someone like you. You know you can pull it up.

Maybe he means "PE" (Physical Education), Indy. I hated that subject.

Post Wed Mar 31, 2004 4:41 pm

those r combined
PE and health >_<
grrr the most pointless and obsolite class of em all! and i never learn anything new!

I concur with Finalday, my folks said something similar when I was your age, it was more along the lines of "Quit your *****ing and get on with it" but it got the trick done.

Post Wed Mar 31, 2004 6:49 pm

Oh quite being hard on wolfy, its only health and pe. Those classes will mean what to you once you move past high school. Its the math/science classes that will get you somewhere.

Post Wed Mar 31, 2004 6:54 pm

By the title of this thread, I thought you had been demoted a grade! Thank goodness it's not something as serious as that.

And I agree with the matt guy, PE and health really don't matter in this highly industrialized society of ours, unless you want to be an athlete or something similar.

i hate that teacher! i really get the feeling he doesnt even like teaching.

Who is responsible for your performance in school? Your parents, your teacher or yourself? Hating your teacher and his lack of enthusiasm for a job teaching students seemingly incapable of self motivation doesn't take the burden off your shoulders.

grrr the most pointless and obsolite class of em all! and i never learn anything new!

Excuses, excuses. Enough said.
Lacking any real knowledge of your situation besides what you've posted here it's extremely difficult for me to feel any sympathy. In my old job I worked closely with 17-18 year old high school students, their parents and their teachers and from personal experience I'll relate to you that you may want to narrow down your search pattern for the source of your current situation. I'm talking really, really narrow it down.

PE and health really don't matter in this highly industrialized society of ours, unless you want to be an athlete or something similar.

Probably the most ridiculous and contrary statement I've read since the last time I looked at a Pizza_Pete post. Your telling a young man that is living in a nation where the two leading killers are obesity and smoking that health education doesn't matter? Your defense for your outrageous statement is that he'll probably end up in a job where he'll be sitting on his backside staring at a computer screen while machines do all the physical labor for him? Think about that for a moment.

Edit= Decided to come back to preempt the comments I expect from my rant:
I already know-----> I should piss off. No one asked for my opinion. Who the hell am I?
And you know what? I agree. None of my business in the slightest. I shouldn't have made this reply. Just that I can't stomach the idea of deleting my reply when I fully believe in every word I posted.
