Most annoying missions in space sims
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

My most hated level ever has got to be the last one in Secret Weapons Over Normandy.
POSSIBLE SPOILER::: You have to protect the Allied landing from stupid plane-bomb thingies. Provided you know what you're doing, completing the primary objective (half of the craft survive) is fine, but the secondary objective (all craft survive)... how the hell???

It wouldn't be so bad if the targeting system wasn't retarded - it insists on ignoring the objectives and targets the nearest fighter... NO!!! I want to shoot down the bombs, not the puny fighters!

Pretty much any mission where you're asked to protect an NPC craft, especially if it's a fighter. I can understand protecting cap-ships and at least they don't move around much so they can't be blamed for what happens to them. But when you have to protect a ship that you can't even order around and it decides to do its own thing making stupid blunders, it really gets me pissed off.
try the hovis race with a cruise speed mod. 600 is doable with a fighter, hard with a freighter. 1200 is damn near impossible with a light fighter! I never finished it on 1200, although im sure there's some maniac out there who can.
I don't even want to try it with 3000 or something like that.
It's not that hovis gets harder, (he actually stays at 300) but it's getting through the gates properly that makes it tough.
The missions i hate the most are destroy the shield generators. I find it's been way too overdone in space sims. It was kinda fun in Xwing vs Tiefighter, where destroying the shield gens was not nessesary to take out star destroyers, but it made it go alot faster. But then again, that game is a bit preposterous, i mean, taking out an imperial class star destroyer with an A-wing... fun but preposterous.
I don't even want to try it with 3000 or something like that.
