WTF?? Problem with downloaded games

WTF?? Problem with downloaded games

Well I downloaded 2 demos today (both are good for my system specs). One demo was:

Alien Sky (got it from shockwave.com)
I of the Dragon (got it from official site)

Now the problem with both is that after sucesful instalation in game text looks something like this:

hsfh-sfhdfh=ghjasfpghnsd nfpsdnfgfsdg sdgjobs bgo[qwe-tq3
t qh0t- 9a23hqTH QE=-TYH

In other words very, very, very ****ed up. It reminds me of text in the email someone posted here (one with virus). Now I checked demos read me, and no luck...so I am just wondering could this mean a problem with my PC? or the instal got messed up? Its kind of strange for me that 2 demos that SHOULD work on my PC acctualy dont work . I downloaded hundreds of demos, and this is the first time this happened. The games that cant run on my PC simply dont work, I get an error from them..or something. But these 2...nothing . Anybody got any ideas???

Well, what type of games are they ?
I *think* that they are both simple games, correct me if I'm wrong

It is possible that you need the latest version of Shockwave to make the games fully compatible or, more likely, the file(s) have become corrupted. If they are unpacked from a ZIP though, the CRC should have been checked informing you of any errors. Still, CRC checking is not perfect in any case.

doesnt "I Of The Dragon" look sweet? i always wanted to play a badass dragon, and even though Neverwinter Nights more than does it (Sorcerer Metamorphosis anyone?) but this one looks to be really cool.
