well when in the uk till the law changed the job ceased to exist ; but prior to that the pet food companies had to produce cat and dog food that was fit for human consumption
during this time there were people employed as tasters for these products

This brings to mind all teh TV ads about dog and cat food, where they say "Great new Taste" well, who was it exactly that tryed it or have they taught dogs and cats to talk yet to let us know. Hmmm?
