This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Somebody out there knows us. And doesn't particularly like me.

This is a "returned" email I got from a target of the spoofer who is emailing viruses to people using our addresses.

I'll admit my first two plays were hastily thrown together, but my last two really showed a lot of promise. I'm quite proud of them!

BTW, I have no intention of posting anymore emails I get. So don't worry about me reitterating already posted items. This one just shed a little more light than the others.

Joy ............
Probably a banned user or something, he ain't got nothing on your plays
Might be a scriptwriter or something, who dislikes you because your plays are better than his !
It does, however, prove his e-mail adress exists. If he gets too persistant, get the police to shut down his IP.
Might take him a notch or two down a bit

Good Day.

I doubt that, since I got that email too.

Which makes me wonder, perhaps this email is a person from my school, in possession of both my email address and a humorous, fictional, satirical newsletter that I wrote.

I sense a connection.

Virus warning: UK wakes up to Netsky.Peak
By Will Sturgeon, silicon.com

Reports are pouring in of UK companies waking up to a barrage of emails resulting from the Netsky variant P hitting what one antivirus expert has described as its "peak".

The worm appeared earlier in the week to little fanfare but businesses across the UK have been logging on today to struggling mail servers, vast numbers of mail delivery failure notifications, interception alerts or instances of the virus itself - all relating to the spread of Netsky.P.

Simon Perry, divisional vice president of security strategy at Computer Associates, said: "Netsky.P is definitely peaking. There has been an extremely high level of infection reports out there and a very high propensity of spread."

For many users the influx of mail delivery failure notifications is the most problematic aspect of any virus outbreak.

Netsky has added to the growing list of viruses which reach increasingly high numbers of variants. There was a time when a B. or C. variant was the most users would see, but the later end of the alphabet is increasingly getting an airing.

And Perry warned that there may yet be several more Netsky variants to come after P.

"No other new variants have been seen thus far," said Perry. "But who knows, we may yet wrap through the alphabet on this one within a few weeks."

Could be Jim, could be SnS. The coincidence are there but do we have enough to establish that it is a directed attack?

I personally harbor the same suspicion that SnS does but I'm not so sure that we have enough proof. It is true that SnS' plays may be taken by some who are characters in them to be insults. It would take a fairly immature mind to take it that way but..... you never know.

I think my comp is infested with a D version of the d@mn worm. All types of pigs are e-mailing me moaning about all this and that, you give me virus, you poop, etc.

Any idea how to kill the thing? Virus Scan came up clean

I'd wait until Comrade Esquilaxov wakes up, he lurvs dealing with e-mail worms.

In case anyone's getting paranoid, it's not you. If you're on someone's address book and they get the worm, then you will get sent it. It also spoofs addresses so it LOOKS like you've sent one, but you haven't. As per, make sure your AV is up-to-date and working, tied into your e-mail client, and you should be alright. If not, well then q honestly you've got what you asked for and richly deserve. This applies to everyone!

I bet its Spectre himself!

The spoofers not smart since I've not been emailed

Maybe this could be useful to some extend against attackers....

3d Traceroute

A friend of mine used it against an player after that player told him he will hack him. Did not really used it...and I do not really paln to, but I think it might be useful to some of ya , especialy for this kind of thing

I bet its Spectre himself!
Smeg off Heltak.

The returns of these emails came from a miltary address and a Japanese company. This person has probably sent it to 10 other places for every one that sends back a response. My email address is getting a bad reputation internationally. It's a good thing I only made the email address to send out the plays. So I don't mind abandoning it.
