I've got a near complete collection of original star wars toys (including "cut-away" death star ), one day soon I'll have to make a decision as to whether I sell them or not. I suppose I could always throw them together with the electrical bits and start my own retro-museum

Yesss!!! they live again!
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

hehehe I know, didn't have the heart to get rid of them. My biggest regret was getting rid of my Acorn Archimedes (with 1 whole Mb of Hard Drive!!) to fund the purchase of my first PC. Damn I loved that machine. RISC OS was just the dogs bits.

OFF TOPIC:
hmmmm...carnevale....hmmmm....I'm beginning to think that you could possibly be a Tawakalna alias...especially after the following comment in the add-on story...
*rubs chin* If you aren't Taw, you must be a good friend of his, because that comment screeeeeaaammms the man Come on boy, 'fess up....
EDIT: Carnevale - venetian connection - you MUST be Taw

..design a web-page with their Crayola starter tin, but the wax kept rubbing off the Etch-a-Sketch screen..

true, tis a sad passing, but he left a spare Etch-a-Sketch behind for the web-designers 'cos that's the thoughtful considerate sort of studmuffin he is.
in the meantime, and getting back on topic, today I had to repair an 8086 laptop. or shall we say I was asked to repair it and tossed it straight in the bin. I didn't even bother to insult it or the fool who brought it to me. No display, dead hd, broken battery, like it's gonna be worth even looking at it? give me a break..

An't seen Taw latly either. Miss him though. The P II I got up and running turns outto be a 244mhz speed. Getting a little more speed out of it. But I need more ram, but don't know where to lay my hands on it. the old simm type. I have 32mgs now with 2 open slots and only one exstrat stick.

@Indy, other than the *Talk* of another seeming to be like Taw, though profie says Italy, And I can't fine simm for sale anywhere, which is to be expected. I may have to hope for an old computer getting tosed out to get another stick.
Edit- Buying some from over seas or getting it shiped for such an old computer, other than the experacnce of tinkering with one, would not be cost effective. My main goal is to learn enough about the inner workings to build my own soon.
