Yesss!!! they live again!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

hehehe I know, didn't have the heart to get rid of them. My biggest regret was getting rid of my Acorn Archimedes (with 1 whole Mb of Hard Drive!!) to fund the purchase of my first PC. Damn I loved that machine. RISC OS was just the dogs bits.

I've got a near complete collection of original star wars toys (including "cut-away" death star ), one day soon I'll have to make a decision as to whether I sell them or not. I suppose I could always throw them together with the electrical bits and start my own retro-museum

try these, FD, they'll work for 95/98/98Se/Me, i got it from the Tawakalna ftp site, Taw's such a great guy, don't you think? Did you know he's really handsome and clever too? I think he's just ace - sex on a stick in fact.

OFF TOPIC:

hmmmm...carnevale....hmmmm....I'm beginning to think that you could possibly be a Tawakalna alias...especially after the following comment in the add-on story...

..design a web-page with their Crayola starter tin, but the wax kept rubbing off the Etch-a-Sketch screen..

*rubs chin* If you aren't Taw, you must be a good friend of his, because that comment screeeeeaaammms the man Come on boy, 'fess up....

EDIT: Carnevale - venetian connection - you MUST be Taw

the Great Taw has ascended to a higher plane of being, leaving only his mortal minions and his really useful ftp site behind, which never possessed any illegal keycodes or cd-cracks whatsoever.

Post Thu Mar 25, 2004 6:16 am

lol...aaaaahhh....a sad passing it is....he has ascended to a greater plain no doubt.

welcome carnevale, follower of the great and wise, praise be that your name is easier to remember

true, tis a sad passing, but he left a spare Etch-a-Sketch behind for the web-designers 'cos that's the thoughtful considerate sort of studmuffin he is.

in the meantime, and getting back on topic, today I had to repair an 8086 laptop. or shall we say I was asked to repair it and tossed it straight in the bin. I didn't even bother to insult it or the fool who brought it to me. No display, dead hd, broken battery, like it's gonna be worth even looking at it? give me a break..

Ok, now I'm confused. Where's Taw, and who's this Lieutenant claiming to be him?

Post Fri Mar 26, 2004 7:31 pm

An't seen Taw latly either. Miss him though. The P II I got up and running turns outto be a 244mhz speed. Getting a little more speed out of it. But I need more ram, but don't know where to lay my hands on it. the old simm type. I have 32mgs now with 2 open slots and only one exstrat stick.

Gilding the lily so-to-speak but, Fd, notice anything?

Post Sat Mar 27, 2004 7:13 am

i got a 486 too !! and a friend of mine has a 386. still using it as far as i know

Post Sat Mar 27, 2004 7:45 am

@Indy, other than the *Talk* of another seeming to be like Taw, though profie says Italy, And I can't fine simm for sale anywhere, which is to be expected. I may have to hope for an old computer getting tosed out to get another stick.

Edit- Buying some from over seas or getting it shiped for such an old computer, other than the experacnce of tinkering with one, would not be cost effective. My main goal is to learn enough about the inner workings to build my own soon.
