Project Freedom

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Project Freedom

Anyone heard about this game? It's another space-sim. (I'm officially hooked on space-sims I guess )
Check it out at this linky.

Supposed to be released end of April, beginning of May.

The screenies look nice, though I'm not sure if the see-through HUD actually works.

You were gone?

Edit: Damn spelling.

Hmmm. Neat stuff. The mission story also is interesting at least as it was described when called "Project Earth 2."

But not scheduled for US distribution until May 2004....

And it is an RTS like Homeworld? The screen shots don't look very RTSy to me
but then I am new to spacer games in general so I can only compare it to HW2.

thats only 2 months away

Mmm, looks good. Only 20 missions though? I hope that they're long ones! The only thing is, it looks rather linear. Ironic for a game called "Project: Freedom", eh?

Esqy: There is some mention that there is some type of variability within mission or between missions or something. Don't know what that means ... Kind of FL-ish... .

It's not very well defined Indy, that could mean anything. We'll have to see how this plays out... I like saying that!

Looks kool. First two screen shots are abit odd however. Thanks.

LOL !

When I saw this thread I thought it meant something completely different.

I went on a Google search a while back for "electro-magnetic mind control weapons". I'm always looking up stuff like that...
When I did, I noticed a link leading to a site involving Project Freedom, a UN site dedicated to telling the world about the dangers of these weapons, and the symptoms associated with them. I'm almost certain it's all made up, but it's very interesting all the same. I'll try and get a link...

EDIT- I found a link on Google, but it doesn't seem to work-
www.mindcontrolforums.com/pro-freedom.co.uk/ part_1.html - 49k.
Try it if you like, or search in google...

lol, no mindcontrol in this game as far as I know

Anyway, it's a SL type of game I think. Not homeworld, that's just the 1st two shots that look that way, because (I think) they are devellopment shots. Hence the grids.

You were gone?

It's true Corsair. Why do you think that I wear a aluminium-foil hat?

OR the first two shots are a training simulation thing.
