Why can''t they allow game download?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

i think valve really underdid themselves with steam, it dosent even recognise my stand-alone CS 1.5 program, stupid thing

oh, and whats the point of starving yourelf for three days just to get a hot dog?

anyway, i agree, most programs are available online, but 800Mb is a bit big for an online download, especially for 56Kers

No I don't want an illegal copy. I have a credit, debit card. And used to have a car, until my car sorta bounced off the dividing walls on the free way at 100km/h+ or 75mph . Now I'm waiting to fix another car, which I also wrecked... ^-^; eh heh... don't ask please -_-

I just want to download the game. I want the game right now this moment, at this time. I could find an illegal copy I'm sure off kazaa, irc or some internet site from google, but I don't want that. I'm computer major, I wanna support the developers' work [coz I know it's hard. But this sort of thing is really encouraging people to get an illegal copy of the game. I know I'm tempted.

I'm gonna buy it off Amazon by the looks of it, but not yet. Partly coz finals are coming and I wanna buy a bunch of games from them, to save on shiping costs.

Remember how music was only available on CDs. That's why a lot of people downloaded their pirated copies from the internet? But then given legal avenues a lot of people actually use the legal download sites and pay fees.

My question is, why does something like that has to happen i.e. illegal downloads before game publishers take initiative and make a ligit downloadable version of their games. Why? I'll even pay $1.00 USD more if I could download it from the convenience of my home.

ps. can some mod delete the post above? I believe this is a ligit topic. I don't want to see it gets locked away

Vis, I think that designers probably feel that offering their games for downloading would require a considerable amount of resources, and would probably encourage more piracy.

Also, I agree with you; what the hell is Arania going on about? *Thwacks Arania* Make more sense!
