Why Is Linux Being Sued by SCO?
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I can't believe that, ten bucks says that someone at SCO brown nosed a CA exec into buying a license to give their claims a bit of weight, probably didn't even make them pay for it. Either way this case is getting friggin rediculous, it's almost getting a sideshow like status. Either way SCO has lost all credibility with these kind of bullying tactics. Even if their case is legit, they should have been laying claim to thier IP 15 years ago, not 15 months ago.
That's true Mustang, which lends credibility to the theory that they started suing people in order to prevent bankruptcy.
Taw - SCO now says that a number of companies have purchased licenses. They include Computer Associates, Leggett & Platt, and Questar. Here are a couple of links for you stating this. When SCO go out of business, those companies will look SO stupid .
The ambulance is on its way, Taw .

ok most sensible folk accept that Sco are finished, and this is just the death throes. But once Sco go (or get absorbed into MS ) then what? Where does that leave the copyright v. open-source battle? MS et al will still be trying to squash open-source and force us down the licence route, while open-source ie Linux isn't gonna go away. I wonder what the next round will be? MS ninjas take out Red Hat's top developers?

MS will try every low down underhanded trick to kill open source. Everyone can see that open source is spelling Microsofts death knell. Linux distributions just need a few more years to develop a good gui (i don't care what anyone says, Linux gui's are crap, I still prefer the command line) and mature a little more, then Bill will start to really sweat. After paying $700 for a copy of XP, and $30 for a copy of Red Hat 9.0, I know who I'm rooting for.
Now, SCO are apparently suing some Federal supercomputer users. When will it end?!?! Still, it's fun to watch though!
