Anti-smoking policy

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Yeah, i see it now. That is the purpose though, as someone (Edit: It was gromit) said back earlier, you can get addicted to the patches.

Looks like I started quite a discussion here
Anyway, it's cool to know I'm not alone. You see, knowing that other people are p*ssed off by the same thing you are makes you feel somewhat better

Mildly amusing story of quitting. Both of my parents used to smoke (they started in the days that people didn't know it was harmful, my mum only started becuase her flat mate did and she couldn't bear the smell, but if you start too you don't notice the smell). When my mum became pregnant with me, she decided to give up (21 and a bit years ago so people now knew it was harmful) and found it really tough going. My dad decided he may aswell too and found it really easy. That really annoyed my mum About 18 years later he admitted he'd already tried to give up 3 times. My mum feels alot better now

uck! i hate going into places where people are smoking, whenever i see that, i feel like saying,"excuse me, but people are trying to breathe here!!"
i was laughin out loud when i saw that!

as for smokers, i used to smoke, but quit when i started losing in the 800m for my school, lol! It's a nasty habit, but hard to stop! and as for the anti-smoking policies, i think they should be there to try and discourage more people from starting the habit!

has anyone seen that ad on british tv about smoking, and how it clogs up your arteries? well they got the artery of a 32 year old smoker, and squeezed out loads of it from a 8 inch (20 cm) length (i'm guessing at that length), and it made me wanna be sick!

if you smoke, increase your potency, don't harm your baby, live longer, and prosper, by KICKING THE HABIT, not KICKING THE BUCKET!

I can't speak for other country's, but in the US, they could give Tobacco farmers a 2 year tax break to plant and harvest something else. That way, they don't go under. Here, improved health might help cause the Medical heath care to drop its prices a bit. Who knows.

I know this is a nasty habit, but I can't quit. Worse, I don't want to!

Did you hear the latest? Phillip Morris are going to place leaflets in their cigarette packets, in order to "provide more information" for smokers. Come on! We all know that it is just so that they can cover themselves from litigation! Do they really expect us to believe that they have a notion of corporate responsibility, or care that they make billions from selling people a product that kills them? Ahem, sorry. I got a little carried away there .

up in Canada they've had huge pictures discouraging smoking on cigarette packs for a couple of years now
and here in Winnipeg they just recently banned smoking in all bars, restaurants, clubs, etc. basically any enclosed space. being a non smoker who also wears contact lenses, i think its awesome. before i could barely stand an hour in a bar before my eyelids would feel like sandpaper against my contacts.

apparently all of Manitoba will be going smoke free before the end of the year.
personally i can't wait.
