Gamers Movies

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Gamers Movies

This one is a little different. What is your favorite game, BASED on the movie, cinema, animation sequence, NOT on game play. It has the best movies..

Final Fantasy 8 For PC They are right out of the final fantasy movie itself, great Detail.

I mostly just play the games that are designed for that purpose... gaming. They are more designed with the gamer in mind, less video clips and more action, as well as a less strict storyline.

I depends upon what you mean. Animated movies eg. FL, or full-motion video eg. WC3?

Basicly the cut scenes from the games like FL when the cig falls from the man to the landing area or the opening squence.

opening sequence to Call of Duty, esp Stalingrad.

FL opening cgi, that's fookin awesome.

AoE/AoM. always liked those.

WC Prophecy, when the Nephlilm ship opens up the wormhole near Kilrah. In fact any WC except for most of the cust scenes in IV 'cos Luke was really bad in those. Good opening though.

Shogun:Total War (Warlord edition) 'cos it gives you crackin clips from Ran.

Duke Nukem cutscenes are very funny, I find

The opening sequence for Total Annihilation always made me laugh : *Said in deep rough voice* "What began as a conflict over the transfer of consciousness from flesh to machine..." etc.

The start for atomic bomberman is funny,

The best of all though, is the worms 2 sequence as they pull out larger and larger weapons, and the last one is an enourmous hammer

Edit: I forgot one: For civ3, if you look in the movie folders (the one that has the space race victory and opening sequence in), there's a short video which seems to be there for no reason at all. It involves a guard on top of a castle wall saying to you: "Don't worry about it sir, this fortress is impenetrable, absolutely no w" *twang of bowstring* "huh?" *ducks so fast he leaves his helmet spinning in the air - arrow thwacks into it then clangs onto his head* "OW!".

I remember feeling blown away by the cutscenes in FF8, at the time they were state of the art and even now, still look frickin incredible.
On a similar note has anyone seen the full trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for the gamecube? If that's anything to judge the game by, its almost worth buying the console just for that!

Funny you should say that rec, its exactly what i am doing.

I love MGS's video clips. i can recite huge dialogue passages with my broter, so i would plump with MGS

FFX has amazing CG sequences, they leave no detail out

FF8. I just started re-playing it. The FMV sequences are amazingly detailed for its time, and it still competes well against recent titles. Anything else it's pretty bad though. Except maybe gameplay.

Well, since no-one anwered my question, I'll assume that it is either. The cutscenes from X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance, Jedi Knight II, and other SW games are always good. I love watching X-Wing and B-Wing strafing runs take out SD's!
