Usually I wouldn't post a topic about a new virus because a new one is detected every few minutes, but this one is a bit tricky. Essentially, the "Beagle" virus's 10th variant is actually an encrypted ZIP file, with the main body of the email containing a password to the archive. Because the virus is encrypted within the ZIP file, it will not be detected by some virus scanners. The virus (technically it is a worm), also uses addresses similar to "[email protected]", because it copies the domain name (in this case "lancersreactor.com" ) of the infected computer, and uses names such as "administrator", "staff", and "support". So if you receive emails like this, watch out. As I always say; DON'T download attachments!

That'd be right, you go to all the trouble of warning the computer illiterate about a virus that will most likely bypass their amateurish attempts at computer protection (if any), and infect their machines, and what happens? No-one reads it

I'm right there with you Wolfy, its about every two weeks ill get the blue screen of death and pretty much have to do a total reinstall to get it back up. I need a new hardrive and motherboard is pretty much the root of the problem. *ends rant

i have no idea but im pretty sure its the hard drive, mother board or both. i get the blue screen of death every hour or less. i have no experience in restoring systems so im gonna leave it to they guy who helped built my computer. and ask him if he can put mcaffe back on my computer.

i dont know why but every game i play lags like hell on multiplayer, and progressivly get worse until i get disconnected. i think my lag managed to crash the Freeport 7 server 2 times

Very wise, Blaze. Beagle10 can be pretty nasty, but at least it doesn't trash your BIOS and/or delete you HDD as some viruses do. Those are REALLY nasty.
