My first Anniversary

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@ Mustang,

It's not Canadish. It's Canadian English. Now who's mutilating things

I also saw a program on the difference between American and Canadian english. For example, Canadians have taps, Americans have facuets. Canadians have blinds, Americans have shades.

And no one is really sure about e ither ei ther.

And whats the past tence of dive?

Well I doubt I have nearly as many posts as some of you when I Turn 1. But any way congrats ,

on the other point, I spell color without u's and honour with them, but thats just me and I'm pretty weird.

If life gives you lemons use them to squirk lemon juice in people's eyes and cheat.

"he dove in to the pool"
i thought that was a bit fooking obvious

Accualy Arcon, you're kinda right. 50 years ago or so, the past tence of dive would of been dived, not dove.

Hands Leon large bouquet while Leon blows kisses to cheering crowd*. Is that what you had in mind Leon?

Well not really, I was looking forward to a party, but its ok

I would like it like this a lot more

Hands Leon large sword while Leon blows punches to cheering crowd*. Is that what you had in mind Leon?

And as for misspeled honor, I spell it the way my word processor says it , so cant help on that part

Commiserations Leonhart

er... RILMS it would seem that the difference between American English and Canadian English, is the same as the difference between American English and English English. I suspect the Canadians also use torch instead of flashlight, boot instead of trunk and lift instead of elevator (though I could be wrong).

Post Wed Mar 03, 2004 11:31 am

No, accualy Canadian English is a mix of both. We do use flashlight, trunk and elevator.

The reason Canadians are a mix is because of the British Colonists that conqured Canada from the French and then the Loylists who came from the States.

We are the best of both worlds

@Lh

You did not misspell honor, nor did your word processor. In "American," it is h-o-n-o-r.

Our more "English" -sided friends spell it h-o-n-o-u-r. I guess you could say that the ex-colonials cleave more closely to the Queen's English than us revolutionary republican types.

Oh yes and more importantly, congrats!
