What are you playing right now?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

What are you playing right now?

Yes i know its been a while since you have heard from me, my life is in a major crunch time right now so I try to get on when I can but my time is severely limited, so if im gone for some period, dont worry yes I know I have posted this once before a long time ago but. I think people love to tell others what they play.....besides it helps people who buy games buy good ones. Including me, so here we go

Sacred Demo: Action RPG, very cool, as far as i have played it an awesome game, very cool combat model, the monsters are very well done and the attacks are excellent (spin around, hit one guy with your sword, another with your shield, punch and kick another then backflip off another guy somewhere else ehhehe ) its isometric view, the characters and monsters are 3d and the environment is 2d, but the artwork is just purely exquisite, looks very nice. I suggest you get the demo and give it a shot....... i love it since i loved Diablo II and this is like Diablo 3

PS: it even has horseback combat heh

Freelancer: Back into it, you can find me on the olde Elite server

Age Of Wonders II: Shadow Magic : excellent game, a masterpiece of strategic options, check it out, download a demo, explaining all the game features would take forever

Dark Age Of Camelot: Still play it regularly and enjoy it

Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura : extremely open ended RPG, i played it before and didnt enjoy it because i was a rogue and kept trying to melee, although i did enjoy my rogue, going from town to town and waiting for merchants to go to sleep then robbing them blind heheheh check it out its a budget game now like 10-15 bucks and its well worth it, made by the guys who made Fallout , Fallout 2

Need For Speed Underground: Awesome game, i love NFS and i love cars what can i say

Mafia: Love the story, i have it for PC

Final Fantasy X-2 : hot chicks..... nice combat model.... good story..... excellent graphics.... whats not to like?

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory: its free and i love it

I'm playing "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" on my PC. I have nothing else to play . That's not to say that it isn't a good game, it is, but I have no PC games. I'm waiting for the WC Mod or Freeworlds SP (if it ever happens) to come out so that I can put FL back on.

Rise of Nations and Freelancer

Demouser: I have no wish to join the play, but rather to see it enacted. My only concern is to avoid having the lands of Microsoftia bare down on myself.

If you can't read this you are a retard

Oh i LOVE Rise Of Nations..... I have a problem though.... i can send you guys 10-20 savegames that are just pure stalemates. Now im not new to the RTS field, in fact i consider myself an excellent strategist but a lot of times playing a computer on hard in RoN proceeds as follows:

Build a base, train some defense the usual routine..... I forge one alliance by the time im at the medieval age, since i like team games a lot, anyway I was just recently playing a River Nile map, 2v2 me and my ally were holding a line overlooking the hill near the river, basically we made a massive berlins wall of troops towers, siege equipment you name it. The whole map was basically sliced in half, I had plenty of resources (playing defensively, the small guerilla attacks i ran on enemies didnt cost much, thus i have about 170,000 wealth and steadily rising (i have commerce research full and its still flashing) and have at least 70,000 in all other resources, with metal being the exception of having 120,000 last time i checked, but as you all know these fluctuate during the game so thats just a rough estimate.

I had built the Angkor Wat, The Porcelain Tower , and the Terra Cotta Army. So I had free troops constantly rolling in to reinforce the lines, i was playing as france and thus also had healing supply wagons, which were great for the holding of said lines. So heres the problem I have, all of us are in the gunpowder age (or one after it i forget) the map is cut in two, our lines are directly on top of each other and theres a constant battle going on trying to stay alive. I had plenty of population space left, so I could gather major forces anytime. But my problem is now...... I can make a huge force of two types of units, make a mixed force (which happens to always be most succesfull) and make a force of one unit only (bad bad bad idea) so I decide to launch a major offensive, create 12 of each type of base troop, add 6 siege weapons, 1 general, several supply wagons and several other little things thrown in for good measure.

I conquer a border city, the one closest to the intersection of the 4 rivers, so just as i began to celebrate (all the while sending a healthy stream of reinforcements from base) it gets conquered back...... I have tried at least 9 times to conquer this city, and have tried to make incursions off of a myriad of other places off the map but to no avail. They always seem to have a force waiting to crush me before i even attempt anything, I have even tried mutual attacks by using beacons to direct my allies forces to the same spot i attack but as i said, nothing. So heres my dilemma, I cant attack, and i definitly can attempt to but doubtfully hold the line forever, my allies line has even started to spread thin and i have been forced to maintain 2 parts of his defense aswell as my own. I have tried and succeeded at destroying their wonders using the generals ambush with some commando explosives, but thats as far as i have gotten to destroying anything.

If you want a save-game i can mail it to you but i think you can figure it out, i either need some killer strategies or something you would do. Its a total stalemate the more i play the more my ally is weakened and the battle continues to ensue over that damned river with no end in sight and no progress being made.
