This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

i found something on my computer that i want rid of, yet it says its protected and that other people are using it, i think its spyware, how do i remove it?
what is it? ...."something" doesn't help much ff...being a bit more specific would help. Are we talking about a system process or what? Whats it called? Where did you find it? The reason I ask is because I've found quite a few xp "anomalies", that weren't in other versions of the OS, so it could just be one of those.
you will have to restart the computer, press F8 while it's loading up and then it will be in safe mode.
While it's in safe mode you should be able to remove the offending prog or spyware without any problems.
However I'd suggest that you find yourself a program that can search out the spyware to help figure out what it is. Try Bazooka spy and adware detector.
you can get it at Download.com.

Ignore the voices Taw, they are not your friends!
I know what you mean. You observe, and I'll handle it.
Edit: Oh, ff is back. It's spyware old son. If you can't end the process, one way is to boot up into DOS (if the parition is FAT32) and delete the file and subdirectories there. Otherwise (if the partition is NTFS), use "Safe Mode" and load into Windows delete the dir. The last option is to edit your registry, but be careful. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Software-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion-Run, and see if the "msbb.exe" is listed. If so, then delete it, and then the process will not start when you next load up windows, and you should be able to delete the dir. If none of these work, let me know.
