is Windows Movie Maker free?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

well it comes bundled with windows xp.

It should come as a part of a Windows XP installation, and can usually be found under Programs - Accessories - Entertainment. Are you saying that you don't have it installed? If so, just use the Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove Windows Components tool. I don't know why you'd want it personally...

@ Esqaulix - its because it can be used to make intro videos for the game..........basic i know, but some of us cannot afford decent software, and even if we did, we wouldn't know how to use it, but windows movie maker is simple and easy. Files saved as wvm format - perfect.

Off:

i'm running Win2K, never have, and never will, install WinXP on my PC!

I really think that yo...Bah, I'm tired of this... OK, don't use XP. Your loss.
On: Movie Maker is free when bundled with XP. It's not free to d/l methinks. Anyway, if you are running XP, Esq pretty much covered it. Use Add/Remove Win components, and install Movie maker from there. I've used it, and it can prove itself quite useful. It's fast, and it does more than it seems...

Careful what you wish... You just might get it.

If you run XP, you can pick up the Plus! that deals with video as well.

It's not as good as apples software but it works

Demouser: I have no wish to join the play, but rather to see it enacted. My only concern is to avoid having the lands of Microsoftia bare down on myself.

Spammers: have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC\music_failure.wav playing back in ther head when they visit TLR

Mods have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC\music_victory.wav playing in their heads every time they remove Spammers

You can use Movie Maker to make intro movies for FL, Chips!?!? That's news to me! Are there any guides on creating such movies that you can recommend?

Post Mon Feb 23, 2004 5:11 pm

erm yes, basically - you cannot make your own files with it strictly speaking - so you need something to animate or capture the images first - but i have made some stuff....its just embarrisingly crap. However, the game does recognise it no probs. Try it - you can make it play the simpsons on startup if in right format...

Heh heh Watch a whole simpsons episode before playing FL.
