1. this is a box without hinge, key, or lid, but inside a golden treasure is hid.

Egg Dur

Did no-one read the Hobbit?

Didn't live in the 60's so I'll guess Free Love?

Within, without a darkness
Complete the shroud to open your eyes
Once a white, once a black
Tread the gray, from here to there
What can you see that I must be?

Another little summary thing. Makes it easier to go through 'em in my opinion

1. this is a box without hinge, key, or lid, but inside a golden treasure is hid.
Egg Dur (Heltak got it, I never woulda guessed that)

2. what happens once a minute, twice a moment, but never in a thousand years?
The letter "M" (Arcon, but I knew it too)

3. At night they come without being fetched, And by day they are lost without being stolen.
Stars (Arcon)

4. How many times does the hour hand and the minute hand cross each other in a twelve hour period? (Start at 12:00 noon and count that as once)
12 (Arcon)...but it's wrong...

5. The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?
A coffin (Arcon, but i knew it )

What happened in the early 1960's which won't happen again for the next approximately 4000 years?
Heltak says Free Love, but I'm not so sure it's that...how could you predict it in the next 4000 years?

Within, without a darkness
Complete the shroud to open your eyes
Once a white, once a black
Tread the gray, from here to there
What can you see that I must be?
No freakin clue.

We're running outta riddles...

And can you tell us when we're right 'cause it's hard to guess if we're right or not...

@ cronos second riddle

well the fact that you can only ask one makes you have to think more, so here it is:

If you were to say the opposite of what you really say; what would you say is the path to safety?

so if u asked the liar...he would of course lie so instead of pointing to the city of angels, he would point to the city of demons
if u asked the truth teller...he would tell the truth and point to the city of demons
so either way....you would take the opposite road of what they say

p.s.: i hate riddles but i was bored so i decided to think

this is my world; it goes round and round and round
The wolfy types like a cow

"What happened in the early 1960's which won't happen again for the next approximately 4000 years?"
The date looks the same upside down!
1961 upside down is 1961. 6009 upside down is 6009.
Easy as pie.
