Bad Drivers

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Viator - I have been to Lygon Street many times. I went there on a few occasions after I had finished listening to lectures at Melbourne Uni. It's good to hear from a Melbourne boy! So... what do you think of the weather?

Indy - Rant away, old chum. It's my thread, and I give you permission . Ah yes, the 4WD, the scourge of our roads! The damn things are nowhere near as safe as people think they are, they take up two lanes (practically), they are not very manuverable, and you can't see past the damn things! I hate them so much!Sorry, I got a little carried away there .

4WDs driven by women dropping their spawn off at school. and they only live 1/2 a mile away. how cr*p is that? and they pay no attention except to little Johnny and Susie as they skip into school while nearly running over some poor kid whos taken the trouble to walk to school.

What is it with women and 4WD's? I mean really, how big a car do you need? It must be a female thing... *ducks slaps* . It's just lucky that there is no such thing as the "F-Series" Canyonero. Imagine one of those on the road with a crazed housewife at the wheel *shudder*. "Crazed housewife" could that be another tautology?

ff - A "TAFE College" is an educational instituation that offers courses on a variety of topics, as well as adult education and apprenticeships. They are also the institutions to which, to put in bluntly, many people who did not score high enough to enter University go. That is not always the case though, and some people join to enhance their knowledge with additional short courses or Diplomas.

To borrow from another thread about obsoleted behemoth dinosaurs, at least Ford finaally conceded that maybe people really didn't need to drive the Excursion around. Then, again, almost simultaneously, GMC rolled out its first consumer oriented Hummer ... looks like the military version but cannot compare on ruggedness or mileage.

Side Note: I saw Mike Tyson now almost 7 years ago, driving around Manhattan in a bright yellow original pre-GM Hummer convertible. Even he looked like a midget behind the wheel. That's right, he was driving. His two clownish hangers on were in the back seat kicked back and swigging suds... in the open. In NYC that's a no-no but I don't think there were too many cops interested in pulling them over.

Why would you want to wear a hat while drivibg? Fashion? In a car? How pretensious!

Viator - I know exactly what you mean.

In America, we wear hats while driving because it keeps the sun out of our eyes.

That's what the roof and sun-shades are for .

although i hate most 4WDs, except for Land Rovers of course (British therefore superb) I'd really like a Humvee, even the civilian ones. I just like the design, a lot.

but I'd really like me Audi 2.8 Quattro Coupé back.. best car i ever had. Bah, I'll never be allowed to have a decent car again.

Ah Esqy.

There are places where, when the sun is out, it is only, say, 70F. If the sun is out on a day like that, you want to be driving a convertible with the top down. In a pinch, a car with an open sunroof. Sometimes, the sun visor takes away from the view so, you wear a billed cap or brimmed hat. And no... Now days, the aerodynamics are such that the wind will not blow the hat off with the rag top down.

Well, it ain't about bad drivers, but here goes .....

Speed Cameras: The menace of society, the ultimate evil of all evils here in NZ.

The police say that these cameras are here to protect and keep people safe . Nothing could be further from the truth. Imagine, a speed camera on a 60 degree hill, put EXACTLY on the speed limit. All of those who drive here, know that you WILL accelerate on a hill, even if you try to stop it. Some people I know ( Who are very good drivers ) swear they got flashed by the aforementioned camera while going LESS than the speed limit. Luckily, people here have caught on to the "Flash lights" routine to warn people of speed cameras.

This police force here is screwed when it come to FAIR speed cameras........

Taw - What's wrong with the car you're driving now?

Indy - I'm sure that hats come in handy, but the sun-shade works fine for me, and I can't even wear sunglasses. Still, I have noticed that the only people I have seen driving around wearing hats in Melbourne are 65 years or older. A correlation, perhaps?

Neo - We have SO many speed camera here in Victoria "to keep us safe", that the government rakes in millions every year. Greedy bastards! Damn Bracks (and Howard too while we're at it) .
