Now I'm lost. Only 100 nanobots could eliminate everything on Earth in a week? You mean 100 nanobots that reproduce themselves as they go along or just a 100 nanobots altogether.

I agree though, the gigntic beams on some capital ships would kick ass, those pulse thingies they have now just don't look good!

Nanobots could be made simply using mutated bacteria. Bacteria are already almost indistinguishable from Nanobots.
PS.Anyone see Horizon that night. Completely pointless with that ending.
