it's probably not so much what you ate or drank but WHEN you ate or drank it and HOW MUCH of it. The closer to bed time, the more likely that what you ingested will occupy your body's processes and potentially influence what goes on in your brain during sleep.

causes of bad and/or horrible dreams
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Since we are ruling out alcohol and, I assume, all other mind affecting substnaces....

i like texas accents
The Texas accent is an urban myth I tell you!!! Derampt up by those hollywood bimbos trying to sell things... unless you live in hicksville (the sort of hicksville that has been separated from civilization for long enough to devolve) the southern accent (that's what it really is... alabama like) is only found near the Louisiana border.
<end mini rant>
Now, anybody remember my dream about the grey bald monkies, posted in some thread somewhere? Well in it my g-paw got a virus. Two days later he calls telling me he got the blue screen of death and had to re-install windows! *twilight zone music plays*
For vivid dreams of truly epic proportions, forget the drugs.
Around about 30 mins before going to bed, eat cheese.
Yup - the stuff that Jerry likes so bad.........
The more mature ones have more powerful flavour - but not sure about dream effect - but Cheddar and other stalwarts do a good job.
Eat not one slice, not two - but several good chunks of cheese (yes, quite a bit) before going to bed.
Then go off for a nice sleep time..................and have you some nice realistic dreams (apparently).
I cannot confirm for sure - mainly as i struggle to remember dreams when i wake up, but its apparently geniune and not a fake, but cheese really does give you vivid dreams................obviously something inside it.....

Source of my nightmares? WEDDINGS
Hehehe...All my life I've been a lucid dreamer...when I was about 14 I went away to Loughborough University so they could study my brain pattern while I sleep. That was odd. Lucid Dreams for those who don't know are (in the most extreme) dreams that you are "awake" inside...so its a dream but you can control the outcome of it 100%...and I mean 100%...I even managed to get it to the point as a kid where before I went to sleep I would decide where I'd like my dream to begin.
eg. before going to sleep I would decide on a beach. Sleep. "Wake up" inside the dream on a nice cosy beach...then I could wander around say "hang on we need a woman over there" and bosh there's your scantily clad woman. etc etc
Now why am I telling you this? Because as you get older lucid dreamers slowly lose control of their dreams....so nowadays I can only get control sometimes once a week or maybe even once a fortnight....but the downside is, you still get EXTREMELY vivid dreams. I honestly can't remember the last time I woke up without remembering what I dreamt about (Was thinking of starting a dream blog at some point)....which means that when you have nightmares....you reeeeaaaalllly have nightmares. I'm talking heart stopping, take your breath away sort of stuff.
So if anyones ever wondered why I'm permanently on the cardamine...now ya know....its great for destroying nightmares well saying that, even if it doesn't destroy them, they tend to turn into dreams about food and/or bunny rabbits after a few minutes so they're not as bad
I totally sympathise with nightmare sufferers....
