Vegetables

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I would be a potato. They don't taste bad. Not bad at all .

Post Tue Feb 10, 2004 1:59 pm

The noble sprout would be my vegtable of choice. Yes, this post, and indeed this entire thread consists of spam. But then in a modern society, what really defines spam? Is it merely off-topic writing, or is it nonsensical jibberish. You see, because of the pressures that we all face, in our daily lives.....<goes on a mad ramble>.....and so we can, as a result, all become better people.
Damn, I should really get back to my English essay and stop skiving off here....

<-----Mine. Well, not mine, it's copyright of this site, but still...

Aceaz---Like a U-boat, unnoticed, surfacing only for a second, then vanishing without a trace....

It's not all complete spam...is it?

I think this is a very important debate about vegetables, psychology and philosophy...

It may not further our understanding of anything, but it's a perfectly legal topic.

Post Tue Feb 10, 2004 2:41 pm

"Legal"? Perhaps, but the Mods will most likely consider it spam. At the very least they are keeping a close eye on this topic. As for me, I still don't understand this topic. Would you explain its possible rammifications?

Now for some levity...

*Puts on Freudian voice* Now tell me, pSYCHO how long have you had these delusions of being a vegetable?

Post Tue Feb 10, 2004 9:18 pm

Maby he's psycho? Oh wait...

Really though... IS this spam? The definition is, well I'll leave that to somone who actualy knows (and besides the "food" but weather a topic is spam or not depends on if it's being enjoyed or not. It ought to be coming to some sort of conclusion naturaly, be it the definition of spam or, say, what Arcon's up to. When does somthing really cross the border into spam-land?

...and why isn't this locked yet (not that I mind. I've gone and gotten myself interested in this, even as I hijack it )

one thing first, why does anyone *not'* like vegies? i don't get the whole idea. i mean, they are just vegies, porkchops are just meat. but i'd rather have meat over fish anyday of the week. then again, i like vegies just as much, if not more.
my favourite vegie hm...

CABBAGE!!! its where kimchi comes from. not far behind is brocooli, and sprouts and what was that that popeye eats? oh yes, spinach. i like those too. vegie power!!! look at the factory inside my arm1

I'd have to say jungle ferns fried in plenty of butter. However, for a veg that's readily available outside Borneo, I'd say Parsnips roasted in butter and honey.

I'm making record time!
If only I had someplace to be...

Unfortunately spam isnt a vegetable

Post Thu Feb 12, 2004 2:32 pm

True, but there's a lot of it in this thread!

Sorry to all the "serious" posters in this thread, (if any) but I couldn't resist!

It's amazing how much you miss veg that you take for granted at home. I have spuds at least every other day at home in one form or another. I'd usually have 2 or 3 small potatoes and be quite satisfied with that. Whilst in Borneo I went without spuds for 3 months. we than got a small sack of them... I'd happily eat 4 or 5 large spuds in a single meal.... damn they were good
