Hey, does anyone know how to alter the number of rings and amulets a chatactor can wear in the game?

The limet is 3-rings and 1amulet.

I want to make it more realistic, most races have ten fingers, so why not wear ten rings?

I have looked through the TESC for hours, and have not found any setting that controls the max number of rings/amulets a player can waer.

Does anybody know how to change this?

I don't understand the point in enchanting. Everytime I try to enchant something with a constant effect, the item will not hold enough make it worthwhile. For example, I attempted to enchant some deadric boots with a speed enchancement similar to the "Boots of Blinding Speed", however I could only add a few points before the boots were over their enchantment limit. Can anyone suggest any good items to enchant that have high enchantment potential?

exquiste rings/clothes, they will make you faster

I've tried them, but they only have an enchantment level of 60. That's still not enough to make enchanting worthwhile. The best I managed was a constant light spell on an exquisite shirt with a factor of only 30 points!

Thanks guys, I will look at their site.

As for enchanting:

Yes, you cannot enchant anything with a really "powerful" constant effect. Elderscrolls really should of included some rings/clothes with a very high enchantment rating. Sadly, they did not.

But there is a work around!

Use the TESC and create your own rings with any enchantment rating you specify!

Then, have them availible to purchase for about 200k (the price I use, I dont want them to be to easy to get; you can specify any price), save up some money and then have fun!

Of course, you could always just create the item in the TESC and open the consol within the game and type:

player-> additem "item name" 1

This will add the ring/item to your inventory.

who cares about how many points it is? its constant, a lvl 1 levitation ring with constant effect will still make you float

Post Tue Feb 17, 2004 4:30 pm

Yes ff, but a constant effect levitation ring with one point will allow you to move VERY slowly. If you enchant it with 100points at constant effect, you move faster then a run.

Or, what if you want to fortify your speed by, lets say...2000 points, constant effect? 2000 points of fortify speed is MUCH faster then 100 points.

Same with creating spells to damage NPCs. Example, a fire ball that does 100points of damage for one second in a 1 foot area, would require an item that could hold about 80 enchantment points. Now, lets say if you wanted to make a ring that emits a fireball, iceball, shock and poison, each doing 100 points of damage in a 50 foot range, and for a duration of 1minute, well......
That would require a ring/item with an enchantment rating well over 10,000.

Yeah! The system is flawed! I'm about to finish Bloodmoon anyway, so I'll probably give MW a rest for a while. I mean, I'm walking around wielding "Hopesfire", and I rarely encounter anything of any challenge.

Is that the best sword that you guys have ever found? Or do you prefer "Trueflame"?

Post Tue Feb 17, 2004 8:18 pm

I use a deredic claymore, the damage is 60 points for a swing, and I enchanted it with 40-50 points of poison.

So, 100-110 points of damage per swing! Ouch!

I like the daedric claymore (or dai-katana), but Hopesfire does 10-70 + 10-30 shock damage. It's pretty nice and it looks good too. I was wondering how long it would take for Bethseda to create a flaming sword effect.

You're AoD? Are you? You don't look like AoD... you post like him though! Keep reminding me that I know you, or I'll forget. Why did you change your name anyway?

Of course I have seen "Trueflame"! I could not have acquired the other sword without it. I prefer "Hopesfire", as the shock damage is more useful because fewer monsters are resistant to it. Additionally, I was referring to the flaming sword effect not the flaming sword appearance .
