wtf my internet is retarding

it takes forever to get to places on the internet!!!
i have no idea on whats happening, my MS Broadband Network Utility says that the connection stregnth is 4 out of 5, an the speed is 18 mbps to 48 mbps (the actual speed varys)

can anyone help?

Yah, do a traceroute to some of the sites and you can see there are some probs with some of the hops. It's been slow today for me too. Due to MyDoom, maybe?

Mine is sometimes very slow (1 - 1½ minutes) and sometimes über-fast (2 - 4 seconds, to load a web page.)

Me too. This morning, especially, was pretty bad. It took me almost a full minute to get my chosen home page to load. Later, it took almost as long to post a reply on TLR .

Same here, midwest, Earlier it was goin REALLY slow. Of course that's slow to my web, which averages around 630kbps, on a bad day. It was horrible earlier, but now its working better than normal.
