I used to love monkey....twas a superb programme...although I don't remember ever seeing the final episode. Did they complete the quest?

I do remember very clearly though in the first episode Monkey takes a p*ss behind Buddha's finger...very surreal

They did complete the journey as I understand it, and they all go back to heaven (I think). It's been a long time. I was watching some today, but they weren't the final few episodes.

Channel 4 have been showing it in the UK for a few months now. It's now at about 1 am tonight/tomorrow morning.

Something tells me that the Monkey series, as shown in the UK is not the same as intended in Japan. Shades of "What's Up Tiger Lily," I think.

Let me know if I'm wrong.
