England is going down hill...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

1/ yes, ambassadors. you are correct!

2/ partially correct, but it's not a simple knighthood, a K is a colloquialism for Knight-Commander of the British Empire and is one of the highest civil awards.

3. no on this one (hmmm but you never know what the old german trout is up to behind closed doors) in formally in public they may be called Ma'am or Sir, rather than Your Majesty et al.

but not bad for a Yank! you should test us Brits on aspects of your Americanistic equivalents.

Nah. Too easy. Everyone's an honorable this or that. Even the US ambassador is an honorable. Only foreign ambassadors are excellencies.

As for direct address to someone who holds high office, it is equally boring in that one addresses that person by that person's office title, i.e., Mr. President, Mr. Chief Justice, Mr. Speaker blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda.

There's no art to it at all.

Democracy in action, I guess.

Yeah, all these bureacractic types are "honourable". Mmm, it's ironic considering the corruption inherent in the bureacractic system...

It's better to be a worldwide known drunkard than an anonymous alcoholic!
