I can look over the flaws in the history side of it. I personally thought it was one of the better movies ive seen lately. If any guys are looking for a good movie to take a girl to over here in the US, I would reccomend Along Came Polly. Its not quite a chick flick because it has alot of comendy to make you laugh. The girls will like it and its not that bad of a movie overall.

I really want to see this movie, hopefully I can go soon.

w00, i saw this film tonight and i couldnt stop smiling. makes me remember why i wanna grow old in Japan and study the way of the Bushido. my GOD was this film good, except for the blatant Americanization and hollywood crap that totally ruined this peice.

see? I told you. it's so rare we actually get anything like a decent film out Hollywood that I'm quite prepared to overlook its flaws and just go with the good bits.

SPOILER time..

The kiss was the biggest disappointment though. It should have been left out so that the tension remained and adding power to his return at the end. If I could change one thing about the film it would be that.

Yeah, the kiss pissed me off, it REALLY shouldnt have been there. The 'happy' ending should be out i think. The film is REALY good thoug. I was crying at the end, but then i always cry at things like that. Its something about men, and honor, and battle.

I was blarting big-time. But not as much as when i went to see Watership Down (those little rabbits, so brave... just like real people)

is it only me or is the entire humanity emotionally sensitive? or am i emotionally thick ?(i'm talking very, VERY thick) honestly, i found my eyelids half closed near the end. the sole purpose of me watching the thing was that it might've been banned in korea so i wanted to see what they talk about jap's culture.

it is rather good, probably the best film i've seen in a while, even beating LOTR: ROTK, IMHO of course!

omg Taw, Watership Down. Have you ever read the book? Thats a real tear ****er too....

Never question whether Taw's read a book. The list would be shorter if you were to ask which books he hasn't read.

I've never read any Mills n Boon.

of course, the Watership Down book is better. it has all the stories of El-Ahrairar (sp?) and the language of the rabbits explained, plus it goes into a lot more depth about their culture and how they view the outside world, and most importantly what goes on the mind of characters who we only experience externally in the film, such as The General (can't remember his name, Wormwood?)* and of course theres the incident with the strange rabbits and where Strawberry joins them, you don't get those rabbits explained at all in the film. Hazel's death is very well-handled in the film and is imho emotionally more satisfying than in the book, though!

it's a real place, btw, those landmarks are all there, its just south of Newbury, just a few square miles of countryside. To the rabbits it was like setting out to the other side of the world..
