I would not worry about it. While music is rapidly declining in quality, people who can get retarded after listening to music is a retard already. No loss there. And are you sure the lyric is not satirical in nature?

I don't even listen to music, so I am biased agaionst all varieties. Therefore, I'm the perfect impartial thrid party! I agree, modern music is awful, and it ALL SOUNDS THE SAME! Especially all of those female singers such as "Kylie". Everything sounds the same to me. I don't mind a bit of classical though; at least it is interesting.

THE most soothing classical of all that I have heard is Pachelbel - Canon in D Major. I want it played at my wedding when ever I get married.

As for some decent music? I can't recommend Rob Dougan's stuff enough, the man is a genius. He mixes classical music with rock or techno in ways that shouldn't be possible. His music is used extensively in movies and on TV because it can set a mood so well. His music features a lot in the original soundtrack to the Matrix: Reloaded. If you liked the music in the scenes where Neo fights the three agents simultaneously near the beginning of the movie, or the chateau fight sequence, that would all be down to Rob Dougan.
