I have posted a link to Ad-Aware on more than one occasion. No-one listens to me . You can get it Ad-Aware from LavaSoft. Or download SpyBot; it is also free. Please don't tell me youhave installed search bars or Gator, because if you have... *raises thwacking hand* .

i did not install anything

Phew! That's alright then *lowers thwacking hand* . Consider downloading something like ZoneAlarm and use it to block malicious cookies and pop-ups. Does anyone else use your computer? Because they may have installed something by accident. Gator is notorious, I hate that program so much! A quick trojan scan might be worth considering as well, just be safe. Use something like The Cleaner, etc.

ive tried so many things
i got ad aware and scanning now

yes other people use the computer
the main reason i really want to get rid of the spyware is because my desktop is so bugged out i have to use my brother's
so if i get rid of the spyware then the computer will be fast again

A spyware killer is one of the few "must have" program IMHO. I've used both Ad-aware and Spybot. Maximum PC gave Spybot the nod over AD-Aware. Both are extremely good proggy's, bottom line is install and run once a month or less and you're WAY ahead of most the knuckleheads who own computers in this world.

<sarcasm>Yeah, it's always FUN having spyware. I mean, who doesn't love pop-ups? I make sure i read over each one, very carefully. I even click on the reall good ones!</sarcasm>

I always turn off 3rd party cookies, manually select trusted cookies to be downloaded automatically and have a pop-up anytime a new one wants to be placed. Not since when gator first came out and I tried it, as it seemed useful for about 2 seconds, have I ever had problems with intruding programs.

message to Esquilax:-

no-one ever listens. or at least so few as to amount to none in "real" terms. funny how when things go wrong and "they"* come bleating and blustering about their puters not working, and you show the 17 memos you've sent off that quarter regarding downloading sh*t, keeping AV up to date and running esential maintenance such as defrag, they claim never to have been told about any of this. I'm gonna start recording all telephone conv and put a vid-camera in the office & workshop so that no-one can deny any of these things took place.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would you want adware? It sounds like a popup generator on your comp!
