Turkish remakes

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Turkish remakes

Okay, it has been a while since I posted these (oldtimers would remember my Turkish remakes reviews ) basically, like India, Turkey has the habit of ripping off Hollywood scripts and re-interpret the whole thing - minus the inexplicably-materializing dancers and omnipresent background Hindi singers decloaking on the screen - but hilarious nonetheless.

2001 - Do Hazaar Ek, while sounding a ripoff of 2001 - A Space Oddesy is actually only a ripoff of Dirty Hairy, Lethal Weapon, MTV, Rambo, Sound of Music and a few others I'm sure I didn't quite catch.

EDIT: I just remembered 2001 DHE is from India not Turkey. I'm sure both have a similar theft style of American movies.

man what a superb thread, FF! i knew there was a reason I liked you other than you haven't banned me yet. I totally love "Bollywood" and subscibe to all the SKy Asian channels and me the wife and daughter happily sit and watch ZeeTV Music and all the rest any old time, usually weekends and sing along to all the songs. You wanna try Mohabbat 1 & 2, also known as "Indian Gwag" its completely insane.

I love the editing as much as anything else. what other films can cut you from paris to Switzerland to New York to Hong Kong to the desert in the space of 2 verses? plus if you listen carefull its not Hindi or Bengali or Urdu at all, its English! listen to it and make the words into English sounds and it all makes sense e.g hanlagadankeh=hung like a lar(ge) donkey. Easy.

anyone fancy a chapati?

oh yeh, Turkey. well all those Middle Eastern countries do the same, they have their own cr*ppy versions of everything. its totally Channel 9 buono estente (buone estente) ffffaffffaffffaffffafffa Chris Waddle and have you ever noticed how once you get past the Alps/Balkans, the 70s never died? yes folks flared suits, medallions, platform shoes and chest hair are still alive and well, a la Sexy Baby Disco Baby Hot!

I totally love the Middle East and North Africa, its completely insane and full of mindless talentless loons - I feel right at home!

btw anyone ever heard of Super Little Fanta Heroes?

There's always Dünyayi kurtaran adam aka "The Turkish Star Wars"
I've yet to see it but judging from the reviews it sounds like it's meant to be a movie like Star Wars and Superman melded together, turns out it ends up being more like a really bad version of Spaceballs. Check it out here!

What a glowing review! Unfortunately, it's hard for we Australians to see stuff like that. It is difficult to locate foreign films of that variety. Believe me, I've tried.

we have countless late night shops in rundown areas of Britain renting these films out every night. Also selling a limited selection of milk and late-night snacks.
