Forum Psychology
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

It is really simple don't you think? We like each other ... or, at least, we like what
all of us contribute to here.
It doesn't have to be direct personal interaction to get to like someone.
I get a kick out of what people say here, how they respond to what I say, how everone contributes to the atomosphere.
I like it here because I like the people here. That's it for me.

i fell upon this haven while i was searching frantically for help on starlancer back some time ago. i was a gametalk veteran back then. i still go there but my home forum got messsed up.
when i got here i was all for the starlancer forum, FL wasn out, but in the golden age? time? forgot the term. and there i learned about FL, went to see articles on it. at that time it didn't appeal to me as it had none of SL's reality ( as in damage you take in different parts of your ship effect you differently, and a single power system - more opportunity costs )
then FL got out, and i got the last copy in the shop. liked it, posted in the best ship thread a couple times ooo and i got thru the race course thing without a scratch and was seriously mystified at the endless questions about it comin up.
basically, TLR is sorta a detour from life i guess. good times bad times.

I came because I wanted help with the Hovis Race. However, I have now completed FL and have stuck around so I can help others and have mad discussions with complete strangers, one of whom I may well of met (Gromit). Besides which, it's a free country (all involved), so I cannot be stopped... hahahahahaha (except by mods - oh damn)
That was Nickless
I came here from a link from Lancers HQ
and I saw the site, I read through it the first time and put it under my favourites
then I discovered the forums, I decided to lurk around, having no intention whatsoever to join in on the events. And finally at 27/02/2003 I joined in because I wanted to kow something about an idea for a freelancer mod.
Then I moved to the discussion forums and posted a couple of threads asking about the most silly specs and stuff. The day after I joined I came to the OT forums I posted a few threads there and as of august or something I realised that I haven't left the OT to post somewhere else.
but as they say: Time rolls on And I am here to stay.
I am a regular, I find TLR is a nice community, always friendly and never too lazy for anyone to help a member.

@Taw and Arc - I'll be fixing that spelling then
@Whoever said it - Yes, I wonder not "why are we here" but "why are we STILL here". I haven't even looked al the FL disk in months so it can't have anything to do with that. Somone mentioned it being like home, I see that as having people like those at home... good friends. Really, I think it must be the conversation (and the need to waste time at work on occasion )

Ok here's a little honesty...
I came here cos I was stuck on a level on freelancer.
I stayed because I was unhappy at work and it was something to do other than work.
Nowadays I'm here cos I like you all (well...most of you )....I feel like you offer me something, and I can offer you something in return. What that "something" is, well, that's open to interpretation. I believe that you earth people call that "friendship"
I wonder what will happen if TLR shuts down?
