Forum Psychology

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Forum Psychology

This is a "why are we here" sort of thread. Why do we continue to come here anyway, since it's been established we can't leave. Is it the allure of ruling ones own country? Having a name and "face" that are not our own? Must we get out more? I'm really puzzled now, after a sleepless and thought filled night of back pain.

i come so i can agree with Arch on everything, and insult Mustang, and have smartypants discussions with Ed (Indy) and Esquilax, and tease Locutus, and teach Bob how to blow stuff up, and fix Cardy's network, and Kimk's PC, and slag off laptops, and see how far I can push FF before he locks my posts, and drone on about the Navy/guns/council tax/anime/ancient myths/Arcon's space fighter/getting old/kids telly from the 60s & 70s. oh yeh and avoid doing any work

end parctice mo typong.

I come here to learn and get experiance about life from you old farts, like Taw. So you'd better set a good influence!

Another "why are we here" thread, are you suffering from Forum Regression again WLB?

As for me, I started in hopes of figuring out how to mod FL. But I became an enthusiast in Off-Topic to get myself back into writing and to hone my thoughts that I may type faster and more succinctly. It was a necessary and fun writing diversion for me!

I even learned to research with greater effectiveness, of which you were all the subjects of my scrutiny.

..which plunged several of us including me into fits of paranoia.

btw Bob it's spelt "psychology"

sS, i think WB was asking why do we STILL come here as distinct from why we cam in the first place. weren't you, Bob? (say yes)

I came because I had a question about freelancer.....

My story begins back in nineteen dickety two... sorry, Simpsons flashback .

After I created my mods, I felt obligated to check the site regularly to supply feedback and provide bug fixes, etc. Since then, I have been around because that way I can begin to understand the pyche of the forum poster, a species that, like people in chatrooms, I cannot empathise with and do not understand. I can tell you that I have learned much, and I have been having fun battling it out with my contemporaries such as Taw, Indy, ff, Loc, Cardy, SS, and many others.

Let the good times roll! .

Esquilax

And now for something completely different...

I actually stopped coming here when I got bored of FL. Then a few weeks ago I noticed the link in my favourites and came back. :p I'm a member of many forums, and this one is great. Seems a lot more calm and laid back than some forums.

@ esq, id rather your head roll

I come cause Bargib made me a moderator, it's all about the power.

Nah seriously, I've been here since early 2001 and although the list of regulars has changed dramatically over the years (I can remember when Arcon was the only pom and now they're bloody everywhere) the micro society remains mostly unchanged. Everyone is still friendly and helpful.

wisdom of life? painfully learnt lessons and many things I'd rather forget.
