*sigh*
Eh... I just wanted to say goodbye...
I'm leaving... for good. This place... It means so much to me... I can't even begin to explain...
I... I never thought that a forum on the internet could take up and produce those amounts of quality time... Well, not the forum alone, but the people within its wake... Many of which I consider to be my friends.
I'm leaving because... Well, the forum is reserved for living people only...
I'm not just leaving you, but everything else... And hopefully heading off to a better place... it's a gamble, but it's also a risk I have become willing to take.
This is not a "rescue me" or a "look at me" cry out... So don't (feel obligated to) try anything... You're as powerless as I want you to be.
I'm sorry it had to end this way.
Farewell...
Locutus...
Taw...
zlo...
maswastage...
Alex...
Recusant...
Eraser...
FF...
...and everyone who does or doesn't care about me...
Maybe we'll meet again somewhere sometime...

Careful what you wish... You just might get it.

CHET! DON''T DO IT! YOU'RE LIFE HERE IS WORTH MUCH MORE THAN
YOU WILL ALLOW YOURSELF TO ADMIT.

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 7:37 pm

Chet, I agree with Indy... Please don't do this... your life is worth much much more.

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 7:43 pm

Chet, you're right, no-one is going to be able to stop you, but everyone has considered going the big slit. Trust me mate, life is so full of ups and downs, something amazing could happen to you tomorrow, but you'll never get to find out cause you're dead. Just give it a few seconds thought before..

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 7:50 pm

My god Chet.

You're so advanced and so young. You don't know how much you impressed me with your knowledge and skills. I cannot believe that all this is a waste for you. I just can't be.

Please. Give yourself another chance. Give the world another chance.

Not to sound like a callous bastard, but I firmly believe that suicide is the coward's way out. What could be so bad that it prompts you to seriously comtemplate this?

In my medical woes I somtimes wonder if I'm better off dead. Let me go on a bit about the medical woes.
Stuck with a needel or 2 once every 2 days, shots, rampant fevers, seemingly random aches and pains, and for several days at a time I'm on house arrest, just to name a few easy ones. The tough ones have somthin or 3rd degree burns let me tell you. Either that or they last long enough you'd rather just get burnrd and get it over with.
Every time I think of that question I come up with the same answer (that being no). There is so much life to live, things to experiance, see do! Your missing out if you do this. Plus the world loses a measure of it's potential and interest

hm.. what a shame chet.. if you're sure you want to do whatever you're gonna do, and i'm not saying that you're gonna kill youreself. there probably isn't much that we can do, since we aren't talking real time, but over the forum.

do the whole of TLR for what it has given you a favor. reconsider and look for alternatives. run away(geographically), or face the cause of whatever drove you to this decision. eliminate or retreat, defeat isn't an option.

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:22 pm

If life is messing with you dude, no matter what it is......you can always walk away. and I mean that in the literal sense....don't kill yourself.....just go somewhere. start walking . get out of whatever it is that is messing with you. killing yourself isn't going to bring justice to whatever it is that is hurting you only time can do that. and suicide eliminates all of your time. just go somewhere.

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:44 pm

Damn, Chet, as if my opinion matters, do not make this decision hastily. Remember that saying, "Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem"? Think this through. Whatever it is you're going through, I assure you, it's not worth dying for. Unless you're a Serbian extremist, and are going on some suicide mission, in which case I hope you understand the cause you're fighting for, and understand whether it is really worth dying for. C'mon, Chet, be reasonable. Just hold it off for one more day. See if you might not change your mind.

These are recreations of things you said that I put in Reynet - Prince of Starfyre ...

Chetnik: Though I have never met thee, I do have a great respect for thee and thine work. I be of lesser temperance and would have abandoned this game long ago, but your hard work and brilliance kept me coming back. I never doubted that the letter thee hath received was indeed a hoax. So, please, for the sake of justice, the long hours and energy invested in each Generation, do not let it go! You cannot let a lone, jealous, filthy individual spoil this for thee, the numbers of thy supporters is nearing countless, and the number of those who wish thy demise is merely one. Best of luck to thee, Reynet, and remember, no one man should be able to steal another man's happiness, let alone deprive thousands of it.

Spectre: Though I have never met thee Chetnik, I do have a great respect for thee and thy contributions to our lives. I be of lesser temperance and would have abandoned this forum long ago had it not been for the wonderful posters, yourself being a true example of great personality. Do not let it go! You cannot let hardships, cruelties or suffering spoil this life for thee, the numbers of thy friends and supporters is greater than you thinkest, and the number of those who wish thy demise is merely one ... yourself. We wish not for thoust to take thine leave of our world, for that would deprive us of you, and this world deserves not one less man of good nature.

Chetnik: It pleases me that you made the correct decision in staying. Your requests are logical, reasonably small, and easy to fulfill, so I cannot see why anyone would have difficulties meeting them ... Anyway, best of luck to you and your real friends, and keep up the good work! We all greatly appreciate your toils and I firmly believe that this great effort that the allies of Starfyre put into "The Next Generation" will not be in vain.

Spectre: It would please me if you made the correct decision in staying and not shedding off this fragile existence. And I do say fragile, for we do break from time to time, but it is our nature to mend and grow stronger from the mending. We all greatly appreciate your entrance into our community and we will all be greatly disappointed at your exit. I firmly believe that the great effort that you have put into your life should not be in vain. Do not lay down your life, lay down your disappointment ... raise your head to the possibility for with the new day the world can be right! It takes the effort of strong heart, if thy heart is frail, we shall lend you a piece of ours ... Along with our prayers.

Sir Spectre

Chet, I'd probably be wasting my time trying to convince you not to, and I know that religious discussion isn't allowed here, but just letting you know that I will be praying for you. I'm not a bible basher, and although lots in this forum wouldn't agree with me I beleive that God can turn anyones life around, no matter how bad, for good, and I'm not talking about bible stories, I only say that from my own experiance. (For all you athiests out there, I'm not just trying to be a good christian, this is just my way of trying to help.)

Also, if you change your mind, don't be afraid to come back here and tell us! We wont accuse you of having us on or anything!

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:57 pm

Chet, for Christs sakes think about what your about to do. You have the rest of your life setting in front of you. Just think of all the people you will never meet, you'll never have a wife, you'll never have kids. Things can get bad at times but they will always get better. It sounds like your having some hard times right now but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I'll also admit I can not do a thing to stop you. All I can do is hope that you read these words and give you some hope...

Post Fri Jan 09, 2004 10:09 pm

Yes. If the reason you have made this decision is because you feel that life is no longer worth living, I can testify that it is most certainly not. I used to feel exactly like that, that there was no hope for me, life would amount to nothing, so why not end it now rather than suffer and end it later? I also had a few addictions that I was not proud of, and they only added to my despair.

I wanted and even tried (but stopped myself) to kill myself so many times.

But I managed to push through! Keep persevering, Life gets better, it really does! I'm on my way to a job, my brothers getting married soon, I'm looking forward to a wife and kids (my own, not my brothers)! Things are looking up! No matter how bad things may seem now, just think of yourself in 10 years time, looking back on this day and laughing.

WTF!! Chet, don't do that. Dying isn't as fun as people think it is. Sure, you msy find life right not painful and hard, and no I wouldn't understand what your going though because I'm not you, but non-exsistance is worse then death.

And besides, if you follow the Bettlejuice Rules, you'll become a Cival Servant in hell. Do you really want that?

But reconsider, sit down and write all the good things that have happened to you on a list. Then read that list. You'll see how good your life has really been. And besides if things wern't hard, they'd be boaring. Work though your life and you'll get a grand reward, trust me.

Life: No one gets out alive.
