sofar, we have had three Utopian Wars, all ended in a click because the weapons became more rediculous by the next post.

Supersnipa, Rule your own Country began as a thread about utopias, that put two parties forward, The Peoples Democratic republic of North Stafford shire, lead by the Dear Leader: Comrad "Uncle" Taw and The Empire of Mustantopia, lead by His imperial Highness: Mustang I, IIRC. They waged war against eachother, for three times and they are still at each others throats, and I think its time that the Utopian wars were buried and peace be made, even an uneasy peace is fine with me.

Stormtrooper emailed me about this, and i did reply to it.

The only reason why i am not enthusiastic with the "rule your own country" ideas, is because it starts okay - but quickly descends into "I have 200 billion million fighters, and they swoop in and annihaliate you instantly" , which leads to "thats not fair, i wasn't there" and "my ships are better than yours" etc etc. Heck - read the last one, it was at that point when i locked it. They generally do degrade into flames and worse - which is why i am not for them. However, like i said, i wouldn't lock it for the sake of disliking the threads. If it was kept fair, entertaining (I can get why people love them - and they can be funny), and didn't degrade into childish rattle throwing - then it won't get locked. I only lock threads due to spam, prohibited content (religion/policitics/MS bashing), or unfit/derogatory content - including flames, or failure to comply with moderators requests about some issue, and loosing the plot of the thread as it goes AWOL into obscurity.

The thing is that the "Utopias" thread was great fun, but I don't think that it can be duplicated. It was very much a spontaneous thing that can't really be emulated as the moment has passed. At least, that's how I feel; I'm happy to be proven wrong .
