Why are you called.... ?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

It always comes up every few months. I always find it interesting where people get their names from, I was originally Captain but that was chosen in haste and im a bit of a plane nut so I switched it to Dogsbody (Douglas Bader's WWII Callsign) but everyone kept on spelling it wrong or calling me Dog Body, so I thought something simple and easily recognisable like Mustang. Though it's a bit of a pisser because it's always taken on forums. This is actually one of the few where I get to keep my name in tack with having to add a number or something on the end.

Well... one afternoon I found myself completley naked and surrounded by polar bears... to cut a long story short Monty python + Star wars = my name (JK Stands for Jedi Knight).

in some games I was called Miffy, which was my nick my older brother chose for me when I was born.
I decided however while it was fine for a WW2 FPS game this was a bit unsuitable for a space game, so I chose Griffon_26, the code name for the helicopter in Comanche 3 ("copy that Griffon-two-six, fire support out"
My name on MSN is now Pistol Pete, someone called me that once (my name is peter) and I thought it funny so it stuck.

Ah, the long history of the name maswastage/BG. It all started back in the bot so distant past, in the age of PSX and Nintendo 64. So it was that a not-so-young me purchased the very first Grand Theft Auto. I was so inspired by the term "wasted" which appeared on your screen whenever you'd died, that I transfered it onto the internet and gave it a little quirk, thereby becoming Mass Wastage. But of course, by then the day of the 1337 had come, and frankly Mass wastage was not 1337 enough. Therefore, it became MaSwastAge for a brief period of time when randomly capitolizing letters was all the rage, shortly before becoming siply maswastage. Finally, after many a month remaining as it was, the evolution was complete with the help of national pride, and maswastage became maswastage/BG, the BG standing for Bulgaria, and not some online clan as is often the case. So there you have it, the long and utterly boring history of my name. If you've actually gotten this far and are reading this sentence now, I commend you.

I forgot to mention one other thing. Vektrix is in fact a surname (the full name that appears on his Birth Certificate - yes, an alter ego - is Mehmet Raimond Vektrix). I hasten to add there was just that regular lightning bolt thingummy.

As a freelancer one encounters some strange stuff - in the the end, however, you always remain the strangest thing you are ware of.

I've answered this question before, so I'll just copy/paste it in here
============================================================

Many people think I got my name from the ´Anuld´ movie, but I have to say......hell no ! That movie was lame beyond belief.

Anyway, I used this nick since I first played Wing Commander on the SNES (1993), so that´s 3 years before the movie Eraser came out. I thought it sounded way more cool that my WC character doesn´t just kill Kilrathi, but ´erases´ them from existence Therefore my character became The (Kilrathi) Eraser or just Eraser in short.

Smile!, you've just been ERASED

I was bored, I got out a dictionary, flicked to a random page, found a word that sounded cool, then found it also meant "someone who resists and refuses to obey authority" and decided to use it. Wow, that's like a huge emotional, soul-searching story man.........

@TheJKWhoSaysNi, nice to see our only other Massassian has returned! Where have you been?

Well it is a combo. ssj= common shortening of Super Saiya-Jin and garret jax is my most successful and favorite D+D character. Usually Garret Jax is taken due to the fact he was a cool character in one of the Shannara books (wishsong i think) called Garet Jax so i use that or garretjax4ever or (for the really insane DBZ fans) buuvolleyball

I Am Sharp like Bowling Ball
