Interesting. I was thinking that we should have "The First Annual TLR Awards". Essentially, we could allow people to vote for nominees from a number of categories. Eg. "Largest Number of Locked Threads within a Seven-day Period" or "Most Pointless Thread", etc. I was going to create a thread with this premise, however I thought that it would get locked as it might offend people, or something like that. Whaddya think???

Hmmm. The problem is the actual voting. There have to be only two choices or confusion is likely. What about multiple votes? Single elimination style?

Demouser: I have no wish to join the play, but rather to see it enacted. My only concern is to avoid having the lands of Microsoftia bare down on myself.

Spammers: have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC\music_failure.wav playing back in ther head when they visit TLR

Mods have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC\music_victory.wav playing in their heads every time they remove Spammers

I have been quite active, but I think that is not the measure of a good moderator. Eraser and baked are not mere mods, they are admins and have to split their attentions to the site itself (news, etc) and not just the forums, and I think they are doing an overall much better job than me (esp baked, he has to deal with and test every incoming mod fired our way).

I guess I will not vote for two reasons:
a) I really don't know whou should be given the preference, as I don't visit all the forums;
b) if I favor any mod, the rest might get pi$$ed off at me, and I certainly don't want this to happen

Yeah i'd put my vote in for the Potato, he has been putting in a lot of time getting all those mods tested and posted.

I haven't voted on TLR before, and I am not going to now. I feel that ALL of the Mods should be commended for the job that they do, and that we should not trivialise their excellent work by attempting to state that one is better than the other.
