NG X-Box

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I haven't heard a thing, but I hope they make it backwards compatible like PS2 did.

Enough X2 jokes... I think that was the death of some other thread, which was actually about X2. But... back on topic... I doubt Microsoft will make it backwards compatible, so people will have to buy the new games, so more money belongs to microsoft (notice how it isnt capitalized) so they can design even more money making products.

Maybe they will make FL for the new game thingy...

SPAM... yummy

are we talking this christmas coming? if so your all WAY off. The Xbox is no where near strong enough yet. THe console WONT be called XBox 2 or anything like that, it will have a new name (or so i'm told) so as not to get stupid gamers thinking its in the same generation as PlayStation 2. They most likely WILL make it backwards compatable because, lets face it, MS havent put a foot wrong while trying to give gamers the best deal. Marketing wise the PS2 is still on top and is the most popular choice, so to get around the word-of-mouth that goes with Sony, MS decided (properly) to offer the better deal. Its paid off in bucketloads IMHO so i think Whatever the XBox's successor is, it'll be probably a kickass machine

btw Arch the XBox I bought following your advice on the matter has proven excellent, the kids love it. so far I've played halo co-op with the boy and a bit of Midtown Madness (because the little blossom started weeping when he got lost in Paris so i had to negotiate him from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower - like it's hard when he's got the map there ) but most nights i treat myself to a 1/2hr of DoA:Xtreme Beach Volleyball. Purely for the volleyball experience of course.

so thx!

I have excellent articles on Cold War geo-politics of the 1970s which coincidentally happen to be in issues of Playboy.... So?

(nothing touches PC games. Nothing. Consoles have a long way to go before they come anywhere near the gameplay, depth and variety that can be achieved on the PC. plus I can't play much without a keyboard and mouse )
