if i may open a can of worms...
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I'm sorry u Dutch people but ur country is doomed, the Lexx, a giant living insect spacecraft the size of Manhattan, which eats planets, is going to eat Holland. as a snack. which is why the nuclear waste can't go there otherwise the Lexx would eat it, which wouldn't be good, cos the Lexx has to fight the plant people's asteroid that's coming to eat the Earth.
@Richard
You are ignorant! The material was already used as an energy source which resulted in radioactivity. So no, at this time, it is highly doubtful that anything useful can be done with the leftovers.
Sir Spectre
I may be displaying my ignorance on this subject, but it seems logical that anything that is radioactive could be used as an energy source. Is there any research going on to accomplish this? Anyone know?

Dump all the waste into a big lead bin and give it to the UN... see how they react. Put a bow on it and call it a Christmas gift.
Put it into a big tank... use it for lethal injections... make executions cheaper.
Dump it on a country you're at war with... then there will be no resistance several decades later when you occupy it.
Mix extremely small portions into public school food... nobody will notice.
Mix some into wood pulp before making paper... make a tree go farther.
See if it burns... add gasoline.
Sell it to primitive countries as 'miracle substance' that makes you achieve the next form of existance faster.
Send it to Jupiter... gravity will help it along... maybe even make a second sun.

If we use the best US rockets (which can haul the heaviest loads) and give them a generous 99% sucess rate (even though it's mroe like 94) it would still take thousands of missions to ferry all that waste into space. And even if we launched only 100 rockets, that's still one that blows up high in the atmospere and lays thousands of tons of radioactive waste all over Florida. On second thought... --- VH16
Radiation is evolution. Those with six fingers will be able to fire missles while using their thrusters, thereby removing all five fingered newbies from the server gene pool
Whoever came up with "Mission Commision" should be lined up and shot

Ahw carp, I tried to reply to Taws major post somewhere up high, but the site went crappy on me, so here it is:
Lexx? wth is lexx?
Anyway, I agreee, not in Holland
How about Mururoa(sp?) The French detonated several nukes there a couple of years ago. Under the seefloor. So my guess is there is 1) already radiation so a little more won't be noticed and 2) there's a big hole in the ground after those nukes so a lot of room for a few wastedumps.
The lexx question is answered so don't bother.
And keep your filthy hands of off Holland. It may be a crappy country but I live in it, so it still has a purpose
Edit: Damn spelling.
Daft Vader - I am your father.
sS - Noooooooo! I demand a DNA-test.

@Taw, btw what Lexx series do you refer to? The first with Zev or the second with Xev? I prefer Eva Haberman over whatshername myself. Both series are damn terrible, but somehow compelling to watch. Much like a nuclear explosion ... which as we all know leaves radiation in its wake.
How was that for a return to topic?
Sir Spectre

Nick, I already said Godzilla's island, which presumably is Mururoa Atoll, I just couldn't remember which part of the Pacific the French nuke.
sS, series 4, stuck in the Dark Zone they go to Earth where Prince is the Head of the FBI. tbh as a series it's not too good, 4, not a patch on any of the others, but still entertaining. The Lexx eats Holland. U might find the Midsummer Nights Dream episode fun, oh yeh and the Transylvania eps aren't bad either, when u get to see His Shadow's ultimate weapon.
btw I worship His Divine Shadow (in case u DIDN'T know)
